I might be going to Disney World for my birthday in October and I really want to go to a nicer restaurant when I am there. Even though I have been to Disney World 40+ times I have only been to some of the quick service ones, but this time I want to go to one of the nicer sit down ones. I either want it to be at Downtown Disney, Magic Kingdom or Epcot. I have looked at the menus online, but they don't really help because I cannot tell if it tastes good or is in good proportions, etc. I would like just some suggestions(only a few 2-3) of ones that you have been to before and know that they taste good, or maybe give some options that you didn't really care for so that way I know which ones not to go to! Anything would help because I don't know anything about Disney restaurants!

Thanks!:thumbsup2

:welcome: to the DIS! It might help to know what type of food/restaurant you're interested in.

If you're talking about this October, you options may be a bit limited. The reservations system opens 180 days ahead and many of the most popular restaurants book up at that time.

Will you be on the dining plan? Disney's signature restaurants are 2 credits and some of the favorites are California Grill (Contemporary Resort), Citricos (Grand Floridian) and Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge).

Other suggestions could be 'Ohana (Polynesian), Cape May Clambake (Beach Club), Chefs de France (Epcot) or any of the restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin are great for adults (Bluezoo, Shula's, Kimonos).

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

Actually, most of the better restaurants are in the resort hotels.

There are no restaurants at the MK that I would recommend.

At Epcot, I would recommend Bistro D' Paris. If you like steak Le Cellier might come recommended, but I've not been there since they upscaled their menu.

In DD, Fultons if you like seafood, Portobello if you like Italian, and Raglan Road if you like Irish.

At Epcot I suggest Marrakesh in Morocco. But if you don't mind a little boat ride from Epcot to the Dolphin Resort...try Bluezoo. It's very good indeed.

Here are some of my favorites:

The Coral Reef. One entire side of the restaurant is the bottom of an aquarium. It's gorgeous, and we all love the food-- even my non-fish-eating kids.

Le Cellier. Reservations are hard to get, and it's expensive (So lunch may be a possibility-- it's only one credit if you're on the meal plan.) We love the cool quiet atmosphere, and we love the steaks.

- We love 1900 ParK Fare for a princess meal. It's a buffet, but the food is good and the characters are hysterical.
