"I would do my job for no money at all"

Yes, I'd do my job for nothing. But the older I get the more toll standing and doing hair all day takes on my body. I would do the job for nothing but the pain that it causes my feet, legs and and hand is another story.

I'm a housewife (was between jobs when I got pregnant and wanted to be a SAHM anyway, so I stopped looking), so I'm not paid.

I would do volunteer work for no money, but not any of the jobs that I've held. To do a job for no money, it would have to be something I really felt passionate about. Even though I liked my last few jobs, I wasn't really doing something I thought would improve the world. It was just a fun thing to do for money, if that makes any sense.

1) Technically I don't get paid much, so well its close to nothing.. but I will be get free college, so it's a pretty fair trade IMO
2) YES
3) Fairly paid, well not actually.. I would love to see a 20-30% increase to be "equitable" but that won't happen

4) I do see me making a difference...

I'm a substitute teacher so I almost work for nothing!!;) ;) :jester:

Seriously, tho.....if I fell into some money, I think I would still continue teaching as I really love it!:D

If I were independently wealthy and didn't need to have this job then yes I would do it for free. I love what I do.

I would voluntarily work more hours for free. I am not allowed to do that right now at all (legally can't) but sometimes I sneak in an extra 30 minutes a day or so as it is.

I know I am paid way too much for what I do and I would gladly take a pay cut if needed.

I like working because I like a feeling of getting something done.

Would you do your current job for nothing?
No
Would you voluntarily work hours that you do not get paid for?
I kinda do...LOL...self-employed, so I do 'busy work' that I suppose I am technically not paid for
Are you paid fairly for what you do?
Yes, very.
If the desire for money doesn't motivate you to go to work each day, what does?
'tis the money, honey!! However, there are several jobs I would do if money were no object.

Well, I don't really find my job to be satisfying or rewarding, so I would definitely not do it for free. I also don't work overtime (I'm there long hours anyway--that's part of what I dislike about my job) without pay. The desire to pay for my wedding and honeymoon motivates me to go to work (along with a strong work ethic). I'm hoping to find a job I really love soon. :)

obviously, i am not independently wealthy right now (unlike beauty ),

Yes the blinky did the job...I know you were kidding Caity....I actually have only been a SAHM for about 6 months now and not working is driving me crazy. I have decided in the past few months to go and try and get my Real Estate license and see where that takes me. I have always been interested in Real Estate and Finance and think that it might really be something I enjoy. Our realtor has told me she would hire me full-time and show me the ropes. Its also not expensive at all to take the classes here in Mississippi (of course I would have to pass the tests) so I would have nothing to loose in trying.

As for John (my DH) he LOVES LOVES LOVES working in the Cable TV/ Cable Internet industry. If we were REALLY RICH...(which we aren't...) then I think he would still do that kind of work just for the love of it...and yes he works extra hours all the time. John is a really nice person and when someone asks for help he will take all the time needed to fix their problem no matter if he is getting paid or not.
