I won't eat there again! blech!!!!

How is the breakfast though???:confused3

I am traveling with 6 other people and we have ressies for H&V breakfast because my 3 year old nephew loves jo jo Circus and little einsteins. I myself hate to waste a TS there, so myself and my 2 kids going to use it for another resturant instead. But the rest of family are still going there for breakfast...WIll they be dissapointed???

I totally agree! We love the character breakfast and lunch there, but the dinner is absolutely the worst meal I've ever had at Disney by FAR.

Hollywood and Vine is the only restaurant in Disney that we don't like. It really is not that great.

Probably won't be going back to the Sci FI anytime soon. We ate there two weeks ago and when I bit into my hamburger I was surprised to bite into a big piece of plastic. I sent it back and also sent a letter to customer service. I know mistakes happen, but I just can't eat there now without thinking about it.

We are also not buffet folks either, so avoid them as much as possible. Yes, we've done them all many times and in the past they weren't too bad, but over the years they have gone downhill. I agree with fellow posters, H&V is the worse. BTW--we still go to Trail's End, though.

I have never been for their dinner buffet, but the breakfast buffet was OUTSTANDING. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The food was hot and delicious.

We did have the earliest ADR possible (before the park had even opened), so maybe that made the difference. But we had so much fun. The characters were great. My DD (2 at the time) danced the Hot Dog dance from the MM Club. JoJo was so cute and shy. DD had a blast.

This was August 2006, though, so maybe things have changed.

We went in Feb. for lunch. My DS, 4, wanted to eat with JoJo and the Little Einsteins. The buffet was decent. The character interaction was perfect for young children. DS wants to go again next year! So, we will wait and see if he has outgrown the characters.

I think you need to identify whether or not you are a buffet person before you go to any restaurant offering this kind of fare. I HATE buffets :scared1: . Chinese, American, Italian, I know I hate them and if I walk into a restaurant and see that I walk right back out. If you are going to use a buffet, you will have to expect semi-warm pre-cooked food that may or may not be edible. I just avoid them at all costs! If that makes me a food snob, so be it! But I know myself well enough to not allow a buffet to ruin my good time when dining out.

That's me. Buffets are way too disappointing. Even at home I try to avoid them. Food is luke warm at best & always rather bland tasting. I will try the breakfast buffets but all the others I try hard to avoid.

Yes, I know. We ate here and it was horrible! Blech!:scared1: The good news is Fantasmic was great! I wonder how the Play N Dine is?! Hopefully not as bad as dinner:O

In my opinion, it is the worst of any of the buffet restaurants in WDW. I'm not a big fan of buffets in general, so I went in with the expectation that it would be little more than filling and edible. I'm sure it probably would have been filling....if only it had been edible!

Like others, I filled up on that spoon cornbread stuff, and I don't even like cornbread. I probably wouldn't even have tried it if everything else hadn't been so horrible. At that point, I was starving and willing to at least try about anything, so when DH said it was good, I tried it and was pleasantly surprised, or maybe I was just so hungry by then that anything not awful was a pleasant surprise!
