I won't be on the computer tonight or tomorrow!

I am going to have to disconnect the computer this evening! We are having new panelling installed and I have to unhook everything til they are finished! There's a few pieces of furniture that needs to be moved out of the way, but this will be the last thing to be moved!! I really hate the thought of taking everything out of the computer desk, unhooking all the wires, then having to figure out where all the "spaghetti" goes once I put it all back!!

If you don't hear from me by tomorrow night........send reinforcements!!!

We recently moved the computer desk from one side of the living room to the other. Luckily it was a day that my DS had several friends over that knew more about hooking a computer up than I did so they all pitched in and we had it up and running again in no time.

When you disconnect, grab some masking tape and number each cable, and the port it went into. Some cables already have colors that match like blue for a monitor. When you're ready to put it pack togther, just match the numbers. Also, get some wire ties, or old bread bag ties, and when you put the cables back, go ahead and loop them, and twist tie them so you don't get that big rat's nest back there again.

After the day I've had today (parenting issues!! ), the LAST thing I need to do is mess with this computer!! IF it knows what's good for it....it WON'T be giving me trouble!!!!!
