Quick update, my friend (and all easyjet pilots) has been put on home standby tomorrow, but their flights are again cancelled. I don't think anyone quite knows what's happening yet

Firstly thanks to everyone for the well wishes for the journey!
The airports in England started allowing planes to land at 10pm local time here and as far as I understand, things should start to return to normal tomorrow. However it is changeable and we're watching the skies (so to speak) on a day to day basis. We haven't made alternative travel arrangements but instead are hoping that all will be running smoothly by Saturday.
Our thoughts remain with those trying to get home, be it the UK or anywhere else.
Look out Disney Magic - hope to find you on Saturday...swimming costume on standby just incase we need to make the dash across the channel

The airports in England started allowing planes to land at 10pm local time here and as far as I understand, things should start to return to normal tomorrow. However it is changeable and we're watching the skies (so to speak) on a day to day basis. Are Pete, Walter and Max on their way? I can't remember when they were supposed to leave. I checked Pete's FB, but he hasn't posted anything since they got home from California.

I think they fly tonight from New York (Weds night) and should land in Barcelona Thurs morning
It seems like Spain has mostly eascaped this, good for people flying directly there but I know some people on our cruise who were flying to the UK first Most have had their flight cancelled as they were coming over a few days early and now they are having a lot of trouble re-booking. However stressful it's been for us not knowing whether we can fly or not at least we do have an alternative for those not able to make it.

I amy have been tempted if we'd had to fork out over £300 for Eurostar to Paris and then get from there to Spain! Just to make some money back It is a relief we're not gonna have to sell a kidney to afford to get there, don't really care if it takes a while to get back - as long as we get on the ship
