I won the basket at a Block Party

We arrived on August 9th, and went to the Block Party that night. The kids had a good time. I also had my niece and her 4 kids (8, 6, 4 and 2) with us. They had a blast line-dancing.

I saw that gift basket, and really really wanted it! And I won! Of course, everyone I was with, except my DS (12) were outside and missed it.

Not sure if it was posted here before, but this is what was in it, in no particular order:

We'll eat what we can, and pack the rest. DH thinks I won't be able to fit the actual wicker basket in my suitcase, but he should know me by now...it's amazing what I can fit into suitcases.

I was there that night too and saw that basket and thought how nice it would be to win. Even though i didn't get it, at least another DISer did! Congrats!
BTW, the block party was a blast. I hope they continue this for a long time. My son won two dogs playing basketball. Nice little light up pins too. Good time was had by all!

We enjoyed their Merry Mixer in December but weren't at WDW this summer to enjoy the Member Block Party at PI. Looking forward to seeing what type of party/get together DVC is planning for the F&W Festival

Hey momoftwins! Remember me? I met you in the Disney Store at Em Squ Mall a few months back!

Yeah, this has been an interesting trip! LOL I think if it was our first, or even 2nd or 3rd trip, I'd be extremely disappointed getting stuck in the room with a sick kid, but this is our 10th trip or so since '97, and having DVC, we know we'll be back! DD is feeling better too, so hopefully tomorrow, she'll be up and about.

Donna, did you see me win the basket that night? Did I look as totally dazed and stupid as I felt? LOL I kept looking around for my family, and found out later they were all outside. Oh well...the basket sure has made up for the little unplanned realities of the last couple of days.

We were there that night too but I think I started to leave just as they were announcing the winner of the basket. I was there when the husband picked up his wife's prize (forgot what it was!!). Wow!! Wish I knew it was another DIS member.

We really enjoyed the night and my kids loved the free carnival games. They also had fun doing the limbo and eating the free Mickey bars. Didn't they seem to taste better!! LOL!!

That was one great looking basket...................enjoy it!!

What time did they do that? We headed up the hill on Pleasure Island to check out adventurers club. It's always surprising to win anything so you must have been shocked! I won a disney trip once and i still laugh about how goofy i must have sounded on the radio!!
