The little league in my town put on a Parents Night Out to raise money for a new baseball field. They sold raffle tickets at $20 each. The drawing was held Friday night at the function.

There were eight prizes. 1st place was $2500; 2nd place was $1000; 3rd place $500 and 4th-8th place was $200 each.

I almost didn't buy any tickets, because I thought $20 was a little steep, and each boy was expected to sell a minimum of 2. At the last minute, I put $40 in an envelope, and had him turn it into his coach.

Talking to my neighbor across the street yesterday, she tells me I won $500 at the raffle. I wasn't there, but she was, and she was so excited that I was her neighbor! LOL. She kept yelling, "That's my neighbor!"

I have not been contacted by anyone yet, but my name is listed on the little league website. So I know I won!!!

DH and I have been going back and forth about getting DS14 a kayak for his birthday. We can't seem to find any under $200. Looks like he will be getting a kayak after all, and we can even get DD12 one for her b-day in July!!! WOOHOOO

I won $100 from a baseball raffle this season, also. Seems the prizes are getting better.

Happy I got the money back that I put into it, and then some. (I hate selling those things.)

That's cool. I won two good tickets to the Coca-Cola 600 earlier this week (just a door prize drawing -- I didn't contribute anything). They're worth $250, but can only be used for one thing! You have choices with your $500!
