Our vacation's last day was 12/18/08. We had faced many problems during our trip. Most of which were no fault of Disney's. I had started the day early, as usual. I got up, showered, and headed off to Epcot. The plan for the day was for us to knock out meeting all of the Santas and Storytellers. My partner and my MIL would be joining me later in the day, since MIL couldn't get out of the room and to the park before noon any day during our trip.
After meeting characters, I got some coffee and a danish from the Joffrey's coffee stand in FW near Ellen's. I watched some squirrels play as I consumed my breakfast. When I finished, I headed over towards TT. I found a nice lady from Alabama to chat with for a few minutes. When we were done, I began heading over to TT again. That's when I saw....The Dream Team. There were three men and they had the infamous white vests on and they too were headed toward TT. I asked them, "Is this a good time to be riding TT?" I was told that for some, now would be a very good time to be riding TT. I made tracks for TT just as quickly as I could. The single rider line had a 20 minute wait posted, but by the time I got to the top, there was no one there, except the Dream Team guys. At first they told me to hold, but then recognized me from outside and invited me in.
I won a Dream FP!
While I considered using it for myself, I decided to pass it along to my partner to use. Bless her heart, she got the short end of the stick on this vacation. She spent the vacation taking care of her mother and contemplating her own mortality, since her mom's health was more fragile than we knew about during all of the months of planning for this trip. Our hopes of a really great low crowd, low stress, lots of great memories vacation were dashed rather quickly. So, when the opportunity came up for me to easily take over touring the Santas and Storytellers with my MIL for an hour and a half, I passed the Dream FP to Corey and told her to go play. At first she resisted, but in the end, she had a great time riding Soarin', TT, M:S, and Living with the Land. It timed out perfectly.
I am so glad that the Dream Team let me in. It was nice to be able to spread a little pixie dust to Corey on our last day. Thanks Dream Team!
On a side note....I have been to WDW for a total of 23 nights over the course of 3 vacations since this promo started. I have looked for the Dream Team during every trip. I was so excited to finally be in the right place at the right time.
