I won a Disney gift card, have any of you ever?

Hi I was called this morning from a local radio station to be told that I won a Disney gift card from one of there online contests and it really put a smile on my face since I never win anything. So it got me to thinking if anyone here on the DIS has ever won any gift cards or trip from contests. So have any of you won any thing like this and if you did congrats

Disney related I have won Disney on Ice tickets and recently a Pinocchio digital download.

Think the only other thing I've ever won was Kris Kross tickets at Six Flags. Took my cousin and yes, we were into Kris Kross back then, but we gave away the concert tickets to have more time riding rides.

Winning anything is so fun!!

I won a $100 Disney Gift Card from our local radio station back in September I believe. Got entered into a drawing for a trip to Aulani but didn't get it - too bad! Only crappy part was I had to DRIVE to go get it. Almost 2 hours round trip. Still awesome that I won but does it really cost that much to send???

I win lot. In the past year I won tickets to the symphony from the radio and a $100 gift card from an online contest. I also won an all expenses paid trip to Clearwater Florida from a radio station.

We have had a couple of decent wins-

trip to London, England to see the Spice Girls from a local radio station, 50 inch TV at a social (a wedding fundraiser that we have here, spent $40 total for tickets), $50 NHL gift card from Subway, and a $100 Disney gift card at a another fundraiser.

Nice, mine is for $50 and entered me into the grand prize of Disney tickets and a hotel stay. Won't know if I won that till next week. I have to drive to get mine too, it's 40 mins one way.

When I was a kid I won tickets to the Houston premier of Babe. I think it was just a local promo and wasn't a real "premier" but it was fun. My family got opening night tickets, I got a stuffed pig, a poster, and a few other things.

I won the Coke Cola bear from a CVS when I was a kid. Those massive ones they give out every year. I had that thing forever and used it as a chair haha.

More recently I won like 20 bucks of free lottery tickets at our ball park by playing MLB bingo during the game, I've won a few scam type free trip things. The ones where you have to go sit through the time share presentation before they give you your free airfare vouchers, hotel, and theme park tickets. Again entered them at a ball park and thought it was legit until I "won".

Wish I won something Disney! I did recently win a trip for 2 to a Brewery in the North of Scotland. Two nights stay in an lovely rustic hotel. A cheese and beer pairing, a tour round the brewery, dinner and lunch the next day.

Only issue was... I don't like beer.

I won a radio station call in contest where the 13th caller (me) won a trip for 2 to Europe for 2 weeks. I was in my early 20ties then and had a great time!

I've also won a lot of small prizes from various contests.

Last year I sent in over 90 entries to the Holiday Inn IHG contest. I ended up with over 50K points which gave me a couple of free hotel nights which I use in summer at the beach where the nights cost about $300 a night. Cost was for postage- about $40, but it was worth it as you were pretty much guaranteed to win points.

I will add, the trip ended up costing us $3000 is taxes because it was a prize value of over $10k. Just something to keep in mind when you win prizes. Not complaining though, we totally made out, but is it the forgotten part.

I got so much flack for trying to have this conversation on the boards...! It IS a concern, as amazing as our trip was too! The castle suite for a night of course more than made up for anything - if I had won just that night and paid all the same taxes it would have been well worth it! We still have the second set of park tickets that we are going to use this September... we won four but it was just my husband and I went on the trip.
