I did not read all this thread.

My father punished thru intimidation. As I read this I had those old feelings starting to be conjured up. Sorry this is abuse. I was home to visit one year with the kids. They were playing outside with the garden hose. My dads truck was parked in the road. I hear my dad say something about his truck getting wet, he stomps off (big bully demeanor) to reprimand my kids. I stopped him and told he had done this to me all my life and he was not going to get on my kids in this fashion and do that to them -
