I wish the race would END ALREADY!!!!!!!!!

I just checked the mail and got in my WDW DVDs. I ordered them off of ebay. They are ameteur tapes of tons of the rides and shows and even Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. So I want to watch some of them but DH won't leave the living room because Nascar sounds soooo much better in surround sound Tonight it seems like the race is taking forever plus its boring and Jimmie Johnson isn't even in the top 10.

Yep its gotten interesting in the past few minutes....LOL! Okay I admit it, glad he didn't turn it off for me.

At least the race has only kept you from TV. I can't leave my house within two hours of the start or end of the race unless I want the pleasure of sitting in traffic.

My DS is at work at Concord Mills. Unfortunately, his shift ends about the time the race ends. He's only had his license a few months and this will be his first race traffic. After the race, all lanes of Speedway Boulevard/Concord Mills Boulevard are shifted to outbound, which means he cannot drive home the usual way. If he forgets and tries to go that way, he will be forced (literally - the troopers do not allow you do anything else) to get on I-85 and head in the opposite dirction as home in all that traffic. I'm going to be worried until he gets home.

Wow, I've never been to a race, although DH would love to go. That sounds intense! Sending good vibes for your DS's drive!

Because I swear he can't see a thing out there when he drives. If he's not running over someone, he's sticking his car in places he shouldn't. That's not bad if you can get away with it, but more often than not, he doesn't. He's obviously not my favorite driver, so I am biased against him.

Ahhh...okay! DH doesn't like Jeff Gordon at all and loves Tony Stewart. Again I just like the way he looks and if I've gotta watch I want the cute one to win.

Thanks for the good vibes, Beauty. I'm usually not negative about NASCAR since it's an important part of our local economy. When you live nearby, you learn that you don't try to go out a couple of hours before or after and you stay far away from Walmart! I really hate having my inexperienced driver out in the traffic, though, and will be a lot happier when he gets home.

My dad is a huge NASCAR fan and I grew up going to races. I'm not at all interested now -- I just want all the drivers to stay safe, especially the ones whose children are friends of my children.

I lived in Birmingham for 4 years in college and Talladega weekends were wild even that far away. Traffic was a nightmare and the raceway is over and hour away. OH well. Tell us how the DVD's are!
