I wish I could pull off short hair

My face isn't really suited for it, but I wish sometimes I could wear my hair like Morena Baccarin (from V).

That's cute! I wish I could pull off short hair, too. I loved Natalie Portman's hair when it was like this:

I have a TON of hair though, and it's curly, so I don't think I could pull it off without it looking like a huge puffball.

Natalie is very pretty, but I think longer hair suits her better (more mature). She looks too girlish with short hair.

I just love Natalie Portman :thumbsup2. With the exception of Audrey Hepburn I think she is the most beautiful person ever to walk the Earth.

I am the opposite, I attempted to grow my hair out to donate it to wigs for kids and it was nothing short of a disaster. Not only did it get to about 7 inches and stop growing but it looked like a perm and fro had an illegitimate child on my head. I gave up and mailed WfK a check. Oh well.

I agree - she looks better with long hair, but I think that haircut was definitely cute. She can pull off just about any look, I think. :thumbsup2

Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn are my girl crushes. Kate Beckinsale is another - all 3 are/were SO beautiful.

I think she managed to pull off the shaved head look in V for Vendetta.

I think both Natalie Portman and Alyssa Milano, although always gorgeous, look tons better with long hair.

Perhaps I am biased though... with some exceptions, I really dislike short hair on women and long hair on men.

idk about the pixie cut, but i would LOVE to have hair like Kristin Bell did in season 1 of Veronica Mars:

my DSIL tho has informed me that that particular haircut is only ever worn my "pregnant and/or trashy women" and i should keep my long hair :sad2:

but i'm srsly getting to the point of wanting to chop it all off like that. my husband loves that haircut.

i don't mind shorter hair on women, but the pixie cut i don't genereally like. only certain people can pull that off.

i do, however, like longer hair on men lol

:thumbsup2

My nephew's wife just cropped her very long hair and she looks AMAZING!
All of us were giving her major compliments at Thanksgiving.

My hair is very fine and straight. I cut my losses, and my hair many years ago!! I wish i had thicker hair, I'd probably wear it right at shoulder length, oh well!

I wish I could pull off hair that short, but I'm afraid my chipmunk cheeks would be even more prominent than they are now!

I also can't do long hair. I tried to grow my hair for Locks of Love...yeah, after 18 months, I only had 2 inches. I gave up and cut it to chin-length again.

I have major issues with my hair. Most of it is thick and curly, but the top is very fine and stick-straight. Because of that and my aforementioned chipmunk cheeks, I look terrible with my top hair flat on my head. I need height! Therefore...let's just say the 80s are still alive and living on my head

Lol, I'm rocking that cut now and I'm not pregnant or trashy :rotfl:

Your DSIL sounds like a peach. I like my hair and if you want to do it, go for it, it grows out if you don't love it.

I was disappointed when Kristin Bell grew her hair out, short hair was an important part of Veronica's character. Aw heck, I'm going to have to go back and rewatch season 1 now, I'm in need of a V/Logan fix.

I had a pixie cut right after DS was born (I donated my formerly long hair). I LOVED it!! It was so cute and easy to style and very stylish IMO. DH loves my hair long though and asked me to grow it back out. It is long again now, and I love it long too, but I can definitely see myself cutting it short again when I am older. Growing it out was a huge pain in the butt though. The chin length stage was my least favorite - it made my heart shaped face look HUGE. :rolleyes1

i love that style, i think it looks so cute. and like i said, even my DH likes it.

yeah my DSIL is a piece of work. her hair isn't much longer than that, anyway! her's is shoulder length which is a difference of, what, a few inches? everytime i see her she tells me "i'll be so mad if you cut your hair!" and everytime i have to remind her "it's MY hair, you know" she's also the one that thinks darker hair makes her look fat and she doesn't want any photos of her with dark hair on her facebook because her "ex's will see her and think 'well i'm glad i didn't end up with her'" which....if you're married...idk why you'd care what your ex's think, but whatever...

i've only JUST started watching Veronica Mars yesterday. i kept hearing about how it was a show i'd probably like and so far, it seems pretty good.

I've done the whole pixie thing. On multiple occassions. It usually happens on a whim when I get fed up with pulling my hair back with a banana clip. I never regret it, but after a while I get bored and want a cut I can accessories again.

I'm currently sporting a chin length combination of shag and bob. I had my high school reunion last month, I got so many compliments about having the guts to have short hair.

Totally off topic...but are you the guy in your pic or a woman?
I don't want to be rude but your post has me puzzled.:goodvibes
