Ok, this is how I am going to be saving 26.5% off of my Disney ticket purchase.

4 4-day Adult base day tickets, $1299 from Disney site

$50- birthday gift cards from my husband, he paid full price
$50- mothers day gift card from my husband, he paid full price
$200- free rewards from Disney Chase card
$1000- bought with Target gift cards, paid out a total of $855 for them

So I have a total of $955 for $1300 worth of Disney tickets. Thats a 26.5% savings. Plus I will get $20 in a reward bonus for paying with my DVA. So that is really $935 for $1300 worth of tickets. So a 28% savings.

I'm sure some of you can do even better than that, but I am real proud of myself here. Anyone else got any good savings?

That is awesome - congratulations!!! I am going to have to sit down and calculate my savings. I haven't kept careful track, but I think I can go back and check my email.

Mmmm... I personally wouldn't count the gift cards as a % savings, assuming you and your husband have a joint account. Also, the $200 Disney Visa has a $49 annual fee, so I'd deduct that as well. But thats just my math, as they say - statistics is Lying With Numbers.

But good score on the Target gift cards.

Mmmm...Unless I'm reading the OP'S post wrong, she's not counting the $100 in gift cards as a saving. She's counting them as what they paid for them. Also, the OP could be like me and have the original Disney Visa card with no fee.

Great job! I got $500 in Disney Gift Cards at Target and got back $150 thanks to the Amex offer a couple of weeks ago = 30% off! How did you save $145 on your gcs at Target?

With a referral you can get a $200 bonus for the no annual fee Disney Visa.

teller80 -

Just so you know - that $200 referral offer for the Disney visa is STILL valid until September (the one with no annual fee) - you do have to charge $500 within 3 months to receive the $200 gift card. That $200 bonus is for the person who applies for the card. This bonus came in a mailing that could not be missed it was a very long flyer looking that had 6 referral codes. The person referring could get up to $300 bonus rewards if all 6 people applied and used the card (6 x $50 disney rewards bonus dollars = $300).

FYI - that $200 disney gift card DOES not expire!

The other bonus, $50 disney rewardsbonus, is for the person who gave you the referral.

Spot on!

With a referral you can get a $200 bonus for the no annual fee Disney Visa.

I first bought Target gift cards through discount websites like CardCash, Raise, ect then used them on Target.com with my Redcard in the default payment mode. Extra 5% off there.
