I went to see a psychic...

Last night some friends and I went to see a psychic and she told me that DH and I are definately going to get divorced! She also said that he has either cheated on me in the past or will do in the future! Its not all bad though as she said I will meet my soulmate when I am 32 and his name is Tony

Anyway, I'm not too sure what to make of it all really!!

I don't know really, I do believe in psychics but I'm not sure about her. I guess all I can do is wait and see!

If it was "set in stone" (fate) that your friend was going to win the lottery, then she wouldn't need to start buying or buy extra lottery tickets to make it come true, would she...

To me it doesn't sound as though the psychic is 100% sure of her own prophecies (otherwise she wouldn't have said what she did about lottery tickets).

I am sure that there are some things that are "meant to be" and some things that are "not meant to be", but we have an awful lot of influence over what happens in our lives... don't let someone else tell you how your life will play out.

My Aunt went to see a psychic many, many years ago just after my uncle died aged 52. She told her that in the next couple of years she was going to meet the "man of her dreams" and get married again.

My Aunt is 87 now and never re-married.

I dont believe in all of that. If they could look into the future then surely they would do something useful with that gift of forsight for the good of the world.
alot of it is just guessing from certain reactions you give or something you may say, and things that appear to come true are just coincidences!

Just carry on as normal jen, nothings going to happen!

I can remember years ago that a Psychic fair was due to be held at Bingley Hall in Birmingham. A week before the event there was a fire and Bingley Hall burnt down - they didn't forsee that when choosing their venue!

I went about 12 years ago, paid a fortune at the time as she was supposed to be the best. Her prediction for my future among other things, was that I would remain happily married for life to my then husband, have another child within the year, and although it would be hard work, my family would be very comfortably off finacally...yeah right, divorced 18 months later, still the one child, and as broke as china teapot falling down the stairs!!. She was as helpful as a chocolate fireguard.

Psychics prey on the vulnerable...they figure that people are going to see them because they are having relationship problems or money problems...don't listen to her!!!!

I seriously have a problem with psychics...its all rubbish and trouble-making if you ask me. Heck, if they could seriously predict the future what on earth is making them sit in a room reading palms and tarot cards when they could be sitting in the lap of luxury with their gains from predicting tonight's lottery numbers? Surely they could predict something a bit better for themselves than a career as a tea-leaf reader??!!!

Your future with your husband is only going to be decided by you two, not some dozey woman who has the temerity to make up rubbish and charge you for it!!! I hope you don't take anything she said to heart

Well the thing is DH have been having problems, he is very homesick and misses his family and sometimes says that he wants to move back there, I would never live there so if he went back it would be the end for us. This has been the cause of a lot of stress lately so she was right in that there are problems but then she asked a lot of questions during the reading so she might of just been feeding off the info I gave her if that makes sense.

I went to see www.steveholbrook.co.uk 3 years ago just after Mum passed away. It was at Batley Town Hall of all places. Went as a total non believer for a fun night and have a laugh at him and what he does.
My Mum and DW used to go see him but I never would when she was living.
Out of about 200 people he picked me out, said he had Mum with him, he told me 15 things, 14 were spot on, some only Mum would know. The first thing he said was all she can say is she cant believe you are here, well no way would I go see him when she was alive. Another thing was DW had a ring of Mums made larger to fit, collected it from Jewellers that afternoon, he said she says you managed to get the ring done in time for tonight, There was lots more that were very personal.
I know they generalise and there are a lot of sharks in the business but 14/15 accurate statements was quite good. The women on stage after him was rubbish. I now am on the fence with all this, I believe there is some other world but too many people in it for the money to know who is telling the truth.

I must admit i don't believe in it i think they can start going down the lines telling something to you and see your reaction on your face to see if its true. It would have to be something very revealing for me to believe.
