We're from Minnesota, so we pull our inflatable pools out and put shorts on when it hits 60 We are those crazy people swimming in the outdoor pools at WDW, when everyone else is hustling to their rooms with sweatshirts on!
Good luck with your packing! I find I am packing less now that there is the extra $$charge$$ per bag on the plane!!
We are leaving in 2 weeks and I'm only planning to take possibly a couple pair of shorts for each person. I probably will pack a couple pair of capri's instead of shorts for myself. Everything else will be jeans, short sleeved shirts and a jacket for each person.
Last Spring the Sun Came out here In Seattle for the frist time In I do not know how long,I went and threw the shorts on and hit the links!!!,WOW!! it took me the rest of the spring to thaw out .
I take 90% shorts,60 degrees I am turning on the a/c, just one pair of pants max for me,but I am getting older.
70 is the magic number for me - if it's going to be above 70 most of the day, I wear shorts. Highs ranging from 58 to 73 is tough. If that happens for my trip, I have to bring my entire wardrobe. However, generally if the high is only going to be 73, much of the day will be below 70, so I'd be wearing long pants and likely bringing a sweater or light jacket. I'm from Chicago, so we're used to cold, but I still don't break out the shorts for temps in the 60's. My kids, on the other hand . . . .
It has to be in the low 70s at least for shorts, but capri's? Bring 'em on if it 60 right now there's about 2 feet of show outside my back door so the though of even 60 sounds wonderful right now
Where do you live? It depends on what you are used to. I live in Texas and love the warm weather. Anything below 80 is cold to me and I'd dress warmly.
We just came back and the temps were about the same.
Problem is the high of 70 was only from 3-4pm.
If you went to the park at open it was like 40!!!!
and a slow warm up all day. Real slow.
If you want shorts bring them but be prepared to warm jeans most of the time.
Then again, my mother swears her daughter was switched with a polar bear at birth...
DH thinks it's cold when the thermostat dips below 75, while DS has his mother's love of the cold and has been found swimming in an unheated pool with temps hovering in the high 50s...while I am not THAT crazy, I find that as long as I have a long sleeve shirt/jacket, I can get away with shorts at pretty much any temperature above freezing...
If I'm in Florida I'm wearing shorts. I will wear shorts until it gets below 45 here in Iowa. There's nothing more comfortable to me than wearing shorts and a long sleeve t or sweatshirt. I can't remember ever wearing anything other than shorts and we've had multiple vacations in late November after Thanksgiving.
