I do not think I have ever packed pants to go to florida;)

I am always cold. It definately needs to be 80 for me to show my snowy white lets.

Hello from a fellow Canadian! (actually, we're only about 2 hours away from where you are disneynuts777 :) )

My son wore shorts under his pants today to school. For gym class, of course. ;) Yesterday he had basketball practice after school, so he zipped the legs off his pants and then did his paper route without putting them back on. I was in snowpants on my walk home. :upsidedow

On our arrival day at Disney earlier this month (January 10th), we had a great chat with a couple from Florida about the weather. We were sweating buckets in the afternoon sunshine, she was wearing a sweater while commenting on the unseasonable cold. It was -18 celcius back home!!

I agree with PP.

I live in Michigan and I don't wear shorts unless it's in the 80's. I'm comfortable outside in shorts in the 75-79 range but if I have to go inside and the air conditioning is on I get too cold. Then I wish I had a blanket!!

I work in a pizza joint next to 650 degree ovens so it's always at least 85 deg at work..... I wear shorts year 'round.

I have to go home sometime so even when it's 30 deg outside, I still have my shorts, usually with tights though.

So 60 deg is no problem for me.

I said 80+, but if it's not a cold morning, I'll wear them if highs will be in the mid to upper 70's...only in a theme park. I'm a true Floridian and I have to have a sweater and pants if it's in the 60's. ;)

We went on a cruise in January (2005) and it was in the 50s. DS and I were in shorts and short sleeve shirts. Kids coming into the restaurant we were in were coming in with boots, gloves, hats, and parkas on. We were cracking up and people were looking at us like we were complete idiots. We weren't at a traditional tourist spot, we were at a local Perkins somewhere after staying with friends pre-cruise. Pretty funny. (it was 22 below 0 when we left our house the day before)

I only wear shorts if it's 130 degrees out side and I'm actually outside during that heat (which I doubt).

I hate shorts, I hate it when people wear the wrong shorts. I hate going out and I see women wearing parashoot shorts (really short shorts bug are sooooooo wide that they could fit 2 of legs in one of the pant holes), and guys (young and old) wearing shorts that are too high. Sounds so silly, but it's the same thing as people who hate it when teenaged boys wear jeans that are 3 sizes too small or hate it when girls show EVERYTHING because their shorts are too short.

I look at all of these people and I'm like what were you thinking...

I dont hate all short on people, I just hate anything that shows me anything above your knee. I get it, it's hot, but 2 inches of fabric aroud your knee wont make you any cooler.

Shorts are good any time. This is my world, it's 75 degrees in my mind. I'm wearing shorts and a tee shirt right now and it's 21 outside. Was snowplowing all day. Got some odd looks when I went into Wal-Mart couple hours ago. But like I said it's 75 in my world. I'm in my warm little bubble :beach:

if I can, I wear shorts anytime it's above 38. (and I usually follow the weather forecast, not what is actually happening ... back when I was a campus tour guide in Syracuse, I distinctly remember giving tours in February, in shorts, when it was snowing ... which is not really a problem for me, as long as my upper body is warm, my legs tend to stay warm)

If given a choice, my DH will where shorts, regardless of the temp. Me, I do get cold easily, but if temps are in the 60's or lower, I can do shorts if I keep the upper half warm. A sweatsirt/hoodie are good enough with shorts if WDW gets a bit cool. When we go back in Oct., I will throw in a pair of capris with all my shorts, just in case.:thumbsup2

I voted for 80+.
I am always cold, I keep my air on 80 degrees in summer during the day(76 at night), crazy, I know.

Brrrrrr. You guys are making me colder than normal. It definitely has to be 80 or above for me. I lived in PA all my life but never got used to the cold....and most likely never will.

I wear shorts at 65 degrees AT HOME if I dont have to go to work that day. In fact the inside temp in our house is about 68 winter AND SUMMER. I might take a couple of pair of long pants to wear on those days with 58 for the high, but Im SURE not leaving all my shorts at home when Im going to Florida.

I never wear shorts lol. I am a native Floridian, but I have not worn shorts since high school. I don't know why, I just don't feel comfortable in them. So, on 99 degree days in the summer you will see me in my jeans. :rotfl: There is a method to my insanity I promise.

I'm ususally OK in shorts down to about 60 or so. Then again, my opinion on relative temperature is invalid for pretty much anyone else I might come in contact with, so YMMV. Then again, for some unknown reason every so often It'll be as low as 45 degrees outside and I'll be too warm to wear a jacket.

I wear shorts when going to a park if it is going to be 60 degrees or over. I'm the exception though as I wear shorts all year at home even when it was a wind chill of 0 degrees last week (when I leave the house, I put on sweatpants over my shorts), since I got hot easily.
