and yesterday at TDS another CM (also a DVC member) asked me if I got the postcard about the $10 off offer on 100 point add-ons.
I did get the postcard, but I quickly threw it away since I said 550 points is enough. But....
Is it true that they are offering $10 off per point if you add on 100 points? Is it a MB program? My wheels are turning again, because if that is the case, then it would cost me $74 MINUS my 15% CM discount, so I would only be paying $62.90 a point! For that amount of money, I could resell them in a year or so and make money, don't you think???

I just got the postcard yesterday, but I did my addon during the Member Cruise.

The postcard only mentions BCV, but they're also offering MB at VWL if you add 100 points.

For VB, it's a 50 pt. minimum, $15.00 MB.

Yes, it is a MB promotion. According to the card you have to give back the first years points to DVC.

Will someone please explain to me why everyone is so excited about MB?

It seems people are buying 100pts just to get MB. If you want less that that why not just rent them the first year for $10/point. That would work out to $74/ point also.

I can say that I have no desire to ever rent points. It just looks like a hassle to me. So if I was going to buy I would look at MB. (However, I appear to owe the IRS right now so my extra cash is spoken for. LOL)
