... we are on the DXDDP. Do we get 2 drinks at breakfast?? Like, OJ and coffee?? In my mind, it makes perfect sense, as there are not appetizers like in lunch/dinner; but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Sorry, but no, it doesn't mattter which plan you're on. Breakfast is just entree and one drink, so not the best use of a credit unless you're doing a buffet or just have credits to use.

The dining plans no longer include a beverage at breakfast in lieu of either the appetizer or the dessert.

There are some places, like buffets, where you can order multiple beverages.

We were on the DXDP and were given coffee and OJ... No charge for either one. They did it for all 10 TS breakfasts so I'd assume it is pretty standard. I wouldn't expect it but I wouldn't rule it out completely.

They were all buffets.

Buffets are the exception.

Is this a recent change? We were last in Disney September of '11 and I recall the server at Kona bringing everyone juice as well as another beverage.

Yes in the past few years. It's 1 beverage. With Kona being more on the cheaper side, unless you have credits to burn, it's not a good value to use a credit for. Best bet is to pay OOP and order what you want.

Glad the OP has asked this question because I've been wondering myself too. We have two buffet breakfasts booked (tusker house and CRT) so hopefully we can have both coffee and a juice. That's what we usually have for breakfast at home. For the rest of our stay, we will be having breakfast at Grand Floridian cafe and I think it will be one beverage per person. May have to pay the coffee or juice OOP if we choose to have both.

Unless you must have both WITH your breakfast, I would choose one to have with breakfast then use a snack credit to get the other over at the QS or grab n go just after you finish. Even better fill your refillable mug w/coffee before you head in to GFC or after your done, and get juice with your meal. You don't have to spend money or snack credits.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)
I can survive with just a juice with breakfast so is not a problem at all to get the coffee later from Gasparilla Island Grill.
