I was undecided...

and just voted for Obama. I have been torn up for weeks as to who to vote for. Now that I have voted, I feel really good about it and hope our country has a lot of positive change.

I couldnt help but wonder though.... did Bush ruin it for McCain? Making people look down on republicans?

Anywho.... just had to announce my 'undecided' decision!

For some-yes. For those who do not understand how our gvt. works & sees the President as the "buck stops there"...the main decision maker-yes.
For others, like myself who blame the Congress for a majority of our woes-no. Then have to factor in the people who just do not like McCain or Obama and their policies-those people probably couldn't care less what party the canidate is representing-it is the man & his ideas they don't like.

I don't think Bush helped because as someone said, the blame for the downturn gets put on someone. I think actually Palin may have have hurt him. She is as cute as can be, but she isn't moderate, and she doesn't quite have the background yet that people would look for in a president.

JMO, but Bush didn't make it easy for McCain, that's for sure. McCain still had a shot, but when the economy melted down just days after McCain said "the fundimentals are sound" and then did the whole suspend-no debate-oh-wait-nevermind tap dance, I think that was the nail in the coffin. That and I think for as many people as Palin energized, an equal number were turned off by her. In short, a lot of factors went into McCain's probable loss tonight.
