I was robbed at work yesterday!!

I work in a jewelry department at a local mall. Yesterday there were two men that came to the counter one of them asked the girl I was working with to see something while the other one was asking me about diamonds. They said they said they were going to shop around the mall, and they might be back.

To shorten a very long story only one came back. He asked me to take the back off of the diamond, I did. Then he kept asking me to get him things so that I would leave him with the diamond. Everything he asked me for I had the other girl bring to me. I never leave a diamond. He was holding it in his hand out of view. He told me he had to get his wallet, and handed me back a fake. I knew right away I said to him "Can I have my diamond back?" He started yelling at me that it was my diamond and he ran. I called security over the intercom. But the other guy was waiting outside.

Since he was running a good samaritan in the parking lot took down his license plate. And they were caught on the highway by state police.

Sorry to hear your were robbed, but thankful that it wasn't more violent and that you are unharmed. Thank goodness someone took down their license number and the police were able to catch them.

Thank you all for your caring words, I was a little shaken at first but very high on adrenaline. I have had alot of security training, and although I thought it was terribly boring, it really came in handy
