First of all, you will POR - it's my favorite Moderate.
BE SURE TO MAKE TIME TO SEE BOB. He is an entertainer in the lounge next to Boatwrights. He is there Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights - 8:30 - midnight. You will laugh more than you can imagine! Trust me.
Last year Pop Warner weekend was our second weekend at WDW....as it will be this year. We had watched the reservatons during the fall to try to guess how busy it would be.
Early in the week immediately after Thanksgiving it was FABULOUS at the parks but it got progressively more busy as the Pop Warner weekend approached.
We had noticed in October that resorts began to sell out...and Saturday of Pop Warner weekend everything was sold out -- hence the busy parks.
Reservations are actually easy to understand....Yield Management...Southwest Airlines is the specialist at this. Southwest would rather have a body in the seat paying a discount vs. and empty seat. There are computer models which calculate when they have to begin to discount in order to have their aircraft (and Disney with it's resorts) full. If they don't have enough reservations...they offer a discount.
To have a discount available during normally busy times simply means their reservations are lagging behind the number that makes Disney happy.
It's nothing for YOU to worry about.....enjoy the smaller crowds.
Don't forget Bob - show is great fun for adults AND families!
Have a wonderful trip!
