What I found really interesting though is that were no statistics on the after affects of mining on these peoples health.
My Uncle, and everyone I knew who worked with him, had breathing problems many emphysema and died from it. This is a dangerous but necessary industry. I fully agree with the poster who said there ought to be a better way.

I thought the intent of this tread was to send prayers and well wishes to those families affected by this tragedy, not which state has the largest mine, safety records and how much money they make. Geeze people start a new thread to discuss the damned wages and dangers associated with mining!!!!!!!
