The web site connections123 redirects to another site where you can still punch in your connections membership number but I can't figure out how to sign up for connections. The new website is pushing a different club instead. I spent the last few days looking into the vouchers, looking at menus, and figuring out if this would save us money. Looks like I'm just alittle late

If anyone can figure out how to still sign up for connections, please let me know. Any current members reading this? Can you still buy these food vouchers? I don't want to hassle with signing up if you can't. Thanks so much for your time.

You can still join Connections by calling 1 (877) 503-4052,

I also have another number on the back of my card,

1 (800) 568-2386

Good Luck!

Go through the links on mousesavers.com

That's how I signed up two days ago. After you sign up, you go to dealpass.com (the new connections site) and purchase your vouchers there.

I signed up yesterday morning but can't not access the DW info on the website. I called, and my name is not in the system, so they won't let me order anything.

I am extremely frustrated, because I've been researching for awhile, finally decided that this is the right move and now I can't actually do it. Grrrrr.

Ditto to Karel's comments.

When I called, I was told that the registration process takes 72 hours, and to call back on Thursday (I had registered online on Sunday evening).

So I called back yesterday (Thurs, 10/3), and they identified me, finally, after having to wait un hold for about 4 or 5 minutes. They gave me an ID number. I said, "don't I need a password, too"? "That depends on what you are trying to do - some parts need a password, others don't" The rep was going to stay on the line with me while I tried to access the piece of the system I wanted.

Well, I couldn't access the site (was calling and doing this at my desk at work during lunch hour). So I said, "I want the meal vouchers for WDW". "Oh, you can order them by phone, but you need to speak with a supervisor".

After another minute on hold, I was helped by a supervisor. She had to take my Credit card info and process the order for the Breakfast vouchers separately from the Quick & Casual lunch & dinner vouchers. She confirmed both orders (separately), and started to say good bye.

She had asked if I was leaving in a week or less, fortunately I have a bit more time than that, but only a bit (fly down on 10/20 ). So, before she hung up, I asked how they would be sent and how soon I should look for them. Get this: After a 3-5 business day wait for my credit card to process (I say Bull-Tickey to that! Why bother using credit cards?), they will send them UPS 2nd day, signature required. I protested that nobody is home to sign for them, could they not send them another way? Could I waive the signature? Could I have them delivered elsewhere? No, no and no. "If you are not home, they will leave a note where you can pick them up". Well, the nearest UPS warehouse to me is about 35-40 miles.

I hang on to the thought that all reports I've seen about actually USING them at WDW have been positive, and the meals I plan to use them for should glean a pretty good savings. Otherwise, what a hassle!!!

Good luck to all of you about to venture through this process. I'll repost after I receive the vouchers. I fear I may have more to whine about. Thank goodness I have the 5 days with Mickey to make it all better!!!

I registered online on Wednesday. Immediately after that, I logged in and ordered meal vouchers for WDW, all types. I paid with a CC, submitted, and after a few seconds, a page displayed saying that I should print or save the page, that certificate orders from single vendor would be received in 3-5 business days IF the order exceeded $50 ( or was it $100?), if the order was less than that amount, the certificates would arrive in 7 to 10 days. I need to look at the page for exact wording, but that was the gist of it.

regarding the signature requirement -

call UPS and see what they say -- I seem to recall that at one time I missed a delivery (not from connections) I could sing a slip and authorize the driver the leave the package anyway -- depends on how comfortable you are with that arrangement.

Mine always come within three business days. I have ordered several times because I am stockpiling vouchers for our trip in December (was supposed to be October but we had to postpone because son not doing well in school and can't afford the days away - which I'm REALLY bummed out about because of crowds and weather in December vs October). Anyway, I'm always home because I work from home, but I know of at least once and maybe twice when they just put the envelope between our front door and glass storm door - one of the times when my daughter and her friends were sitting right on the porch. They didn't ring the doorbell or ask DD for a signature. I really don't know if I've ever had to sign for them at all...

If you are leaving on the 20th you have PLENTY of time to order and get vouchers.

You can go thru mypoints.com--which is free. You get boints points for gift certificates by reading e-mails and other stuff, If you sign up for connections thru mypoints you save $10 and get so many points to use toward neat certificates like Olive Garder and such. By the way I ordered Q&C cert's right away when I signed up and they arrived within 2-3 days. No shipping charges either.

Wow, that is strange.

I could have sworn, when I registered Sunday night, that the message said my registration was accepted and I would receive an email "soon" with my membership number and password. That is why I was alarmed and called Monday.

I agree, Imelda in TX, quite bizarre.

I can only guess that because Connections is now a part of a larger discount program, there may be a couple of gateways, entry-points ot whatever you'd call them, so some can sign up and get immediate access, and others can get the fun interaction I experienced.

Honestly, because I've been reading about the issues many have had with Connections for at least the past year, I have avoided using the service. I finally became convinced when a Passporter trip report documented all the savings using the vouchers, and I decided to embark on this adventure. I half expected a challenge, and sure enough I got one. Glad to know how many have had success, so I am encouraged.

Thanks for the feedback and we'll see!

Regarding the UPS signing thing--I am an at home mom and I can't tell you how many times I have signed for something from Fed-ex or UPS for my neighbors! Then the delivery driver just leaves a note on their door telling them I have it.

(Good thing I'm honest or I could have a boat load of stuff by now!)

I had the same problem I joined last Friday and could not access the prices or order the vouchers after I joined. I called and they said it will take a few days. This morning I got in just fine.

On the Quick and Casual Vouchers can you only order 10 a year? or per transaction.

Well, after seeing the most recent posts this afternoon, I thought, "oh, good, the Connections website is up again", and just tried to go check out the Disney Attractions info. Still getting the tiny error message at the bottom left of my browser window, and nothing. If I click on Seaworld, I get a blank white page surrounted by the top banner and menu on the left.

Soooooo, I called. The very nice rep who answered tried to suggest an alternate website to enter by, and that didn't work. She confirmed that I was logged in. She offered a number of suggestions, none of which helped. She was definately not a web-page troubleshooter, clearly someone there to take orders for stuff. But she was really trying to help.

Finally she offered to READ IT TO ME. I just about lost it. I thanked her for trying and got off the line.

I'm using Internet Explorer, version 6.0, and my Operating System is Windows XP. I can't imagine that their website is so complicated that it would have a browser or O/S incompatability problem specific to the WDW link!

If any of you nice DISers out there have come upon this and found a way around it, I'd love to know. I worked on a Help Desk for 3 years and have a decent working knowledge of this stuff, so it is really bugging me not to be able to figure it out!

One final question - those of you who can see the WDW attractions info and have ordered online - are you in your 30 day trial period, or have you gone past that and paid the full year membership?

TIA!

I went ahead and got the full year membership because I've been buying vouchers every month for our upcoming trip and stockpiling them. I intend to use Connections vouchers for almost all our meals. I'm probably buying way more than enough but I figure if I have any left over I can sell them for face value, esp since the breakfast vouchers are 17.50 and include tax and tip, and character breakfasts are now more like $20 before tax and tip!

Snowgod - I'm stuck in the same place you are. I've called, I've emailed - why don't they fix the stupid thing. I'm going to call again tomorrow and hope I'm in the system. It's sure not making me want to sign up for a year. I'm not even sure I want to order passes from them at this point, even though I'll be saving over $100 dollars.

I could not order some of the Disney dining vouches from Simple Escapes, so I called the 800 number and the person took the order over the phone for me. I only kept the 30 day trial - it wasn't worth the hassle.
