I don't drink hot tea and I've never tried Chai. I am a southern girl and love sweet tea but that's not what I'm looking to get. LOL I want to try something while I'm waiting for my DH to get off Expedition Everest (we're using child swap). I'd love to hear some suggestions and I'd love to hear a description of what Chai tea taste like. Oh, we're going in May so I'll want something cold and refreshing. Thanks!

I have never tried the Anandapur Tea Company but now that you mention it, I may just have to do this in June! I can tell you that I LOVE a good Chai latte (cold). I don't like the ones at Starbucks because there is a spice in them that burns my tongue (Starbucks is the only one that I have had this problem with).

I am interested in hearing reviews of Anandapur Tea also!

I went there last week and absolutely adored the frozen chai. It has a wonderful taste --- creamy, sweet, etc. You will enjoy it, I am sure!

The frozen chai is to die for! My niece had the herbal iced raspberry tea and she liked it very much

If you don't like the chai latte from Starbucks because of the spice, then I'll bet you'll love the one at Anandapur! It isn't spicy at all, more sweet actually and good. I am a definite chai snob and only get chai lattes from Starbucks and Anandapur!:goodvibes We were at AK in Feb. and while DH and 2 of my daughtes went on, I strolled over to the cart and had me some chai! I'm thinking you'll like it then since it's definitely not spicy!:thumbsup2

I've never tried the frozen but now I'm intrigued! Something to add to my ever growing list of things to eat at Disney this Oct.!:lmao:

Get the Chai African Celebration Latte. It's THAT good! My wife and I are already looking forward to getting that when we go back. . . and it will be Summer then!

I had iced green tea when I was there last year and it was WODERFUL! I highly recommend it. Keep in mind that it is not sweetened, but they do have sweetener and sugar available.

I love Anandapur!!! I go there at least once a trip. My husband who is not a big tea drinker loves it as well. For a hot tea, the vanilla rooibos is wonderful. It is my favorite, but unfortunately it is usually hot when we are there and have to go for something cold. I usually get the iced raspberry tea which is also wonderful. I tried the frozen chai last time because of all the rave reviews on the board. I have to say that I did not like it. It was a little too sweet for me, I got sick of drinking it really quick. I was quite disappointed!!!

I have to have Iced Raspberry tea while I am at AK. I will not share, I must have my own. I go through the entrance, get Everest fastpasses and run to get my iced tea. Royal Anadapur tea company is the best.

Anadapur is the sort of place that there should be more of in WDW. It's unique, it has stuff that you can't get just everywhere, and it fits in with the theming of its surroundings.

Why can't they do more places like that?

Hi, I have put it on my list of MUST TRY places!:thumbsup2 Thanks, Joan

I totally agree!:thumbsup2 That is one of the reasons I LOVE Disney, the theming is phenomenal. I love the Anadapur stand, it looks like I'm somewhere in Tibet or something! :goodvibes

I love Chai tea's - The iced chai tea latte is wonderful :)

Neat thread! Helpful to me as well because I'm looking to try something there in May.

Question for those of you who have been there: I'm pretty much a McDonald's sweet tea kind of girl, for the most part. Is there a tea I'd probably really like there, or one I should definitely avoid?

Where exactly is this located? I'm looking on my map (from '07 or '08) and all I see is Anandapur Ice Cream. Is it near that?

Do they accept Snack Credits?

As far as I remember they do not - but the Chai tea is definitley worth it. I have only tried the hot - it is wonderful :goodvibes - but will have to do the frozen this summer after all of the rave reviews.
;)

If you like McD's sweet tea, then you'd probably like the chai. It is really sweet. You can get it iced or frozen too. I actually like it hot though! :thumbsup2

I also heard this place has great pastries. Has anyone tried any of their baked goods or has a good recommendation??? :thumbsup2
