We are just back from our 5
DVC resorts in 5 nights stay! It was fun to try different places and compare locations, showers, room layouts, etc. For me, location relative to the park we were visiting was the most important consideration.
Night 1: BLT and Magic Kingdom. Walking home after fireworks was priceless. Wave breakfast at California Grill was pretty special. If we wanted to cook in a studio this would be a good choice with separate little kitchen area and more food storage space. We used the area to get ready in the morning. Bedroom space was smaller though.
Night 2: BCV and Epcot. Walking home after Dinner at Rose and Crown and Epcot Forever was great. Ale and Compass fish tacos for lunch (even though the ADR said breakfast) at noon so tasty. Love that pool and the deep lazy river! It was nice to swim after breakfast, since Epcot opened so late.
Night 3: BWV and Hollywood Studios. Love Trattoria al Forno for breakfast and boat to HS. Thermostat from the 70's I think, hard to adjust. Our first floor room was convenient for the boat dock and restaurants.
Night 4: OKW and AK. We actually visited AK before checking in to OKW and changed our plans to visit MK again in the morning after a delicious breakfast at Olivia's. Big room, but not much built-in storage. We were not unpacking, but if we were it would not have been ideal. Spacious bathroom for drying off and getting dressed. BRIGHT lights coming in all night. I put a band-aid over the peep hole, kept the bathroom door partly closed since so much light came in through the window above the toilet, and there was nothing we could do about the light coming in around the roman shades on the patio door. Peninsular road location pretty good, easy walk to bus stop, pretty close to Olivia's.
Night 5: CCV and MK. Room on second floor which is the lobby level made it easy to get around the resort. We booked a studio with walk-in shower, and it was our favorite room. Still looked fresh and newish. Love the boat back from MK. We took the bus in the morning to get to MK a bit earlier for our 8:20 Cinderella's ADR.
Other notes: We bought refillable mugs at our first resort and carried them in our park bag. We certainly used them a lot and got out money's worth from them.
Sending our bag and my c-pap to be transferred by bell services was easy. We dropped them off in the morning before breakfast and requested them when we got our new room. I actually found that simpler than the two time out cm daughter had her days off and moved the bags in her car, because we had to figure out when to go back and get her car. It took more time out of our day. We always had our swim suits in our park bag in case we wanted to swim at our new resort before our bags arrived.
I can't wait to do this again with some different resorts!
