I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

As IF that lady did that!! You guys had some serious run ins with some not great people during this trip!

Welp, glad I’m not in Manny’s range then! Bahaha.

CUPCAKE HEEEEAAAVVEEENNNN

Beach club is gorgeous!! And so are those pp pictures!!! Ahahahaha now they start to look more normal for the kiddos baha!

I would kill to be in epcot with that delicious food right now…man…now I want nachos…. WORST. Glad you had a great evening, it looks like it was a great way to end a day!

Yeah, we seemed to really stumble across some winners on this trip. But, none of it got in the way of our having a good time.

Hahaha! Dude, I'm serious, that signature is crazy complicated. You'd have to practice it forever!

We were certainly back to normal with the PP pictures that day. I get worried when Joaquin starts to look fairly normal in pictures. LOL.

Man, those nachos are great, aren't they?

Getting caught up on this TR....
They should have summer versions of the Jedi cloaks. The littles must have been baking in those in the July summer sun.

Uhhh not sure what to say about that woman taking a 5 yr old's spot. Wow. No words. At least not nice words.

I would recognize that red velvet cupcake from Starring rolls anywhere! Yummy!

Perhaps they should consider having CMs patrol the La Cantina tables and moving people along who are finished. Of course there are those who will linger no matter what so I suppose that probably won't work.

Oh my gosh! Wedgies. They should never have asked....:rotfl:

They really should have summer versions. They took it like a bunch of champs, but I could tell that it's hot for them.

I didn't have nice words either.

I definitely think they should have CM's patrolling that area. It's a small area already, and we actually weren't even planning on watching Illuminations from there. We just wanted to eat our dinner.

Nope. They should know by now that they should not tell me they don't know what something is. I will always demonstrate it, no matter what it is. :lmao:

AMAZING PP pics! I hope you framed one of the family shots. My only wish woulb be that Popadon was making a more "papadon face". Next time. :sad1:

Ugh. People will never cease to amaze me. Taking a kid's seat at a kid's show? Was she really dying to have a better view of the hot dog dance? :rolleyes2

And of course people weren't eating. GRRR.:crazy2:

Hahaha. Popadon can be pretty tame sometimes if he wants to. :lmao:

That's what I was thinking! I didn't see where the kids she was with were. I'm not saying that you can't see the show as an adult if you want to, but really? You wanted to have a better seat to see Jake and the Neverland Pirates?

Nope. They were just sitting around doing nothing. And I was standing up eating. I would have rethought that meal option if I could go backwards. :confused3

Just wow. At first I was giving the benefit of the doubt that this woman honestly thought the seat had been vacated. But to have it pointed out and STILL not move... no more benefit of the doubt. I don't understand people.

Mmmmm Cupcakes.

Aww, that bridge photo has become one of my favourite PP spots. So nice to have the whole group in it. Well despite the boys going all UFC at the end.

I am just such a big fan of World Showcase at night. It's just so beautiful.

Loving your report so far. Cupcakes at Hollywood Studios and School Bread at Epcot makes for an awesome day!!

That lady was SO rude, oh my gosh! Too bad you were in one of the most child-friendly attractions...the language I would have would not be appropriate for preschool toys.

I WANT CUPCAKES! Oh my gosh, those look SO good right now. The red velvet is my go-to. I really want to try the chocolate peanut butter...but I'm so attached to the red velvet!

I can't wait to try the Cava margaritas now that I am legal!!

Wow - stealing a five year old’s seat. Nice - I hope she was proud of herself.

Great (and entertaining!) character pics!

Love the whole-family PP shots in Epcot. Those turned out great. Nothing compared to the ones of the boys, of course! :rotfl2:

What a shame about the seating at the Cantina. The one time we went there, we had a similar experience - not sure that people weren’t eating, but we wandered around looking for a table and eventually just had to eat standing up. I thought it was so one of the parties of two didn’t offer to let us sit down in their extra chairs. I totally would have done that! :confused3

I gave her the benefit of the doubt also. But when Jason explained to her that Joaquin had been sitting there and she refused to get up, my benefit ended. :rotfl2:

I absolutely love that PP spot! It's one of my favorites. I get somewhat said when I don't see a PP photographer there.

Thanks! I'm glad you're reading along. It certainly does make for an awesome day.

The language I wanted to use was right on the tip of my tongue.

They do look so good, right?! I'm attached to the red velvet too. The others are good, but red velvet is just better.

You're going to love the margaritas there! Aaaahhh, so much good.

I know, that woman was just too much.

The boys always take the cake in all of our photos it seems. It doesn't hurt that they're so cute.

I would have done that too! No one did that for us either. Oh well. We survived. :rotfl2:

I still call it Playhouse Disney...I miss Bear in the Big Blue House!

Those cupcakes look so good!

Wedgies? You are terrible! Now that the boys have learned a new trick, are they terrorizing each other with it?

I love your savanna view pictures.

Who takes (and shamelessly keeps) a kid's seat at a kids' show? :faint: Some people.
Love the pics with Ralph and Vanellope, I want to meet them some day.
Beautiful view from your room!! :lovestruc
Also some very fantastic brotherly love PP pics. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
Drunk little cucumber!
I wish there was some better "policing" of restaurants so that non-eating guests would not be allowed to take up tables. That's just not fair at all.
Sounds like it worked out for you guys though, with a good table, school bread and of course, wedgies! :rotfl2:

All caught up! I agree, what better way to end a Disney Day than with school bread, Illuminations, and giving unsuspecting children their first wedgie? :rotfl2: You guys are too funny!

Those PP pics of Joaquin and Gavin are great! Never a dull moment! :lmao:

I still can't get over that lady a Disney Junior, though! I would have like "are you freaking serious?!?" For the kids' sake, I'm glad you were able to just let it go but I don't think I could have done it! :sad2: Regardless of where you are, adults should ALWAYS give up their seat for a child!

On that note, I had to laugh at your Sci Fi check in experience! I know it must have been so frustrating at the time but it reminds me of this scene in Happy Gilmore:

:rotfl2:

Disney naps are wonderful. ::yes::
I am glad you took the time to get view pictures. :thumbsup2

I am right there with you on Beach Club. It's in my top three, for sure. And being able to walk to two parks without dealing with bus transportation is nice.

I am wondering about the ripple effect of your wedgie lesson. I bet those boys have now taught numerous school pals, who have taught their neighborhood buddies, who have taught their little brothers, who have taught their Sunday School friends..... You just never know the impact you make on the world when you teach a child.

Illuminations is my fav! I really don't think there's a bad place you can watch from. We usually just stop wherever we happen to be in WS and watch from there. A few times, I watched from the tables at the cantina but we ALWAYS get food too because it's just not right to sit there just for the fireworks. We plan our dinner around it if we want to sit there. And I'm pretty sure on more than on occasion, we offered another couple who couldn't find a seat to share out table. And we are pretty anti-social. It's just a nice thing to do though.

I haven't sat in that area since they redid it all though so not sure how much better/worse the viewing is. Like I said, now we just watch from wherever.

Love the PP pics! Those are awesome! What is with people and their rudeness sometimes?! Disney Jr and a dining establishment when you aren't dining!? Super annoying but the ending of the day sounds wonderful...and the wedgies! :lmao: Priceless!!!!

I love your savanna view pictures.

Me too! It will always be Playhouse Disney to me for some reason.

Ugh, those cupcakes are ridiculous.

I know, I am terrible. They actually haven't begun terrorizing anyone with the wedgies yet. At least to my knowledge they haven't. :rotfl2:

I questioned the same thing. I mean, honestly who does that?

Ralph and Vanellope are tons of fun to meet, you should definitely do it sometime.

I wish there would be policing at the restaurants too. A while back, I know Disney did some testing at Pecos Bill and other restaurants by doing seating. Meaning, you had to have purchased something in order to get a seat. But, they haven't done anything with it yet, and I wish they would.

Great update and pics! I love the ones of your nephews. lol

The two of them are too funny. Always a blast to be around.

:rotfl2:

We are about ending the day on a high note with wedgies. :thumbsup2

I was really tempted to be like that, but I thought better of it, because of the sheer volume of children around.

That's EXACTLY what Sci Fi felt like! :lmao:

Disney naps are wonderful. ::yes::

Beach Club is definitely at the top of my list. I just love the location and the hotel itself.

I've wondered about the ripple of the wedgie too, but what kid doesn't need a good wedgie in their life once in a while. :rotfl:

I don't either! We've watched it from several locations. On our Thanksgiving trip, Jeni and I had a really nice spot in Morocco seated by a wall. It was really nice.

We totally were trying to plan our dinner around it and figured we would watch after we ate, but it just didn't work out. Oh well.

Love the PP pics! Those are awesome! What is with people and their rudeness sometimes?! Disney Jr and a dining establishment when you aren't dining!? Super annoying but the ending of the day sounds wonderful...and the wedgies! :lmao: Priceless!!!!

Truthfully, I feel like people are just getting worse and worse as a whole. It's why I come on the DIS to socialize with great Disney people! ;)

The story of that woman stealing Joaquin's seat is so irritating! Seriously? Like even if you thought he was moving elsewhere, once you were confronted, you wouldn't move back?

During our trip, this group of people decided to sit in the handicapped seats for LMA without asking a CM. Thereafter, others asked the CM if they were allowed, and she gave them permission, which was fine. But that initial group just did it because they wanted seats in the front (we were sitting in the first row of non-handicapped seats). THEN they ended up being chosen to sit in the directors' chairs!!! I was SO UPSET. It ruined most of the show for me because we were just talking about how it'd be so cool to sit there, and Howard had actually gone down to ask one of the higher ups to ask how it was chosen because we didn't know. I was so upset that THEY were chosen whereas a family or group of friends just strolling in late could have gotten the surprise of sitting there instead. That would've been fine. I just couldn't get over dealing with the fact that they broke the rules and then were rewarded for it!!! It just means that these selfish "it's-all-about-me" people will keep doing what they want to do.

Times like these I wish there was a way for only DISers to be in the Disney parks at one time.

The wedgies story made me feel better though, haha.

See! It's when people act all entitled that I get irritated. :rotfl2: I'm with you sister. I am so with you.

Thursday July 13, 2013

The sun rose on the savanna and we met the day with enthusiasm.

NNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA OBWAYIYA OBA BIBI DADA

Or something like that.

Today was an Epcot day for us. We actually hadn't been there for opening yet, so we figured this was the best time for us to get on some major attractions.

Joaquin was chillin' with his Pop, made evident by his shirt.

And of course, at this point we did not get out of the hotel at the planned time. See, I stopped being good at taking notes at this point, but I do know we were a little later than we wanted to be. So we opted to take the bus instead of driving to the park. We didn't want to contend with having to make the trek to the car through the sahara desert (okay, let's be real, more like the sahara desert with humidity).

Our first destination actually ended up being Innoventions. Ommi and Poppy were nice and went to the Land to secure us all fast passes for Soarin'. We spent a little time here first, and then all met up at Test Track.

We figured we would hop in line for this. It was around 10 o'clock. The wait time was posted at 45 minutes. Perfect! We had a lunch reservation at 11:30am, so we figured the timing would be good.

Here starts a funny part of the day. Joaquin literally freaked out when he walked in here and yelled CHEVY'S!!!!

As a Volkswagon family, we are absolutely unaware of where his love for Chevy's came from. But....we'll go with it. A little side note. Apparently, it still continues, because he was obsessed with them at the Auto Show last month too. :confused3

I do not think that words can describe the mind numbing experience that is this line. Really. My mind was absolutely numb at some point. I lost track of time. I didn't think we were even in the same dimension anymore. We had crossed into the twilight zone of boredom.

I was starting to get nervous. The wait time had been posted at 45 minutes, and we got in line around 10:15am. It was now 11am, and we hadn't made it in to design the cars yet.

FINALLY....we made it in by 11:10am. To design the cars.

(Video below). Joaquin was doing an interesting kind of dance here. You could feel his boredom.

This was my beauty of a vehicle that I designed.

Finally we made it on the ride.

Poor Joaquin is completely covered in the back.

Let's talk about the awesomeness that is this ladies seat in the back of my parents car. Pure.....awesomeness.

We got out of the ride at.....11:30am. What time was our lunch reservation?

Oh that's right.....11:30am.

Mom and I started walking ahead. Jeni was right behind with Gavin. Jason.....well he was wandering around the Test Track store apparently.

Mom and I hauled. I mean like, jogging through World Showcase to Epcot. It was not pretty. I was sweaty by the time we got to the restaurant. Thankfully, they were not worried about the fact that we were late. Our destination was Via Napoli.

However......they wouldn't let us in until our whole party arrive. Jeni and Gavin arrived 2 minutes behind Mom and I.

Jason, Joaquin and Dad? No where to be seen. I asked Jeni if she saw them. She said she kept looking back and had no idea where they were.

They showed up 10 minutes after us! I was frustrated, because I felt like Jason was all la dee da about it. Like it didn't matter. Just wandered in while the rest of us literally ran through World Showcase.

I had to have a woo sah moment so I didn't yell in Italy. At this point, I was crabby, and I was starting to get a bit of a headache.

The CM's were ever so gracious and welcomed us all in when we got there. At least we didn't have any problems.

This was my face when I saw Jason. Literally, eyes wide and breathing fire!

We were all pretty excited to eat.

Jason was the only one that felt he wanted pasta. The rest of us had pizza.

Of course it was all amazing! It's some of the best pizza, in my opinion. And I'm a Chicagoan.

We all enjoyed our meal immensely. I was thankful that I didn't blow up at Jason and he was grateful that he managed to escape my wrath. But man. What a morning we had!

Up next: My headache becomes a migraine.

Oh no - NOT a migraine. :faint: I've had those before in Disneyworld in the heat and its NOT pretty.

Perhaps the headache was the result of your mind numbing experience in the TT line. That does NOT sound like fun.

But on a lighter note - I love your car design. The purple is awesome!

And i love Via Pizza. It really is THAT good.

Joaquin sitting with his Pop is such a sweet picture.

Wow...you sure waited a long time just to get in and design your cars. I love the dance that Joaquin did. :)

I can't believe you and Mom hustled and that Jason just strolled over 10 minutes after you got there.
