I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Oh noooooo foreboding....

That's uncanny how Joaquin is observant and knows Chevy's. The kid's got some gift!

You have such self control to not say something to your brother about dilly dallying! Good for you. I suppose the relief of being seated with no problems is good enough. I'm a VN pizza fan too. They have awesome sangria at VN too!

Yeah, sadly this day will end less than ideal. :lmao:

He's definitely an observant one. He has a memory for things sometimes, and you just look at him any go "really?!"

Oh, I was shooting him daggers with my eyes! I wanted them to be real daggers, but I figured that wasn't the best thing to do. :rotfl2:

Awesome sangria...I'll have to remember that.

MMM Via Napoli Pizza so good. I was so glad that they weren't concerned about us being late :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I was glad too.

Finally getting caught up! Your report makes me laugh out loud, Shanleigh came out asking who I was talking to, I said no one just reading Danielle's TR!:good vibes

Awww, thanks hon! I'm glad that I can make people laugh out loud.

The line for Test Track is basically a black hole. I felt that way too. And you think you're getting close when you design the cars...nope.

VIA NAPOLI! That looks sooooo good. Especially since I lived off pizza when I was in Italy, and now American pizza just seems unappealing.

Girl, it so is a black hole! It feels like it's never ending. Like, for real?

The pizza in Italy is crazy good, right?! In the most random places sometimes too. :goodvibes

We had just finished eating lunch at Via Napoli. Let's remember that Jason was late, because he was meandering around the Test Track store, without paying any mind to the fact that we had a lunch reservation to make it to.

My headache was starting to pound at this point. I thought that eating lunch would help, but it didn't. But I pressed on. I am not one to easily be taken down. What can I say. I'm stubborn to a fault. :rolleyes2

Our FP's for Soarin' were coming up already, thankfully. So we slowly trekked through World Showcase in that direction.

Gavin came across this and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I'm not so sure how Jeni feels about shrunken heads on sticks though.....

Plus, it's an awfully good tool to beat younger brothers with. :rotfl2:

Soon, we were at our destination. My head was still pounding at this point.

You can tell that I wasn't feeling well, because the pictures get less and less and less. I'll put you guys out of your misery and finish this day off, because it gets pretty boring. So apparently, when my head hurts, I can't really think straight.

The kids loved Soarin', as we all do. My head was throbbing at this point and I had to make it known. Jason and Jeni said that they would take the kiddos to do more in Epcot. I told Mom and Dad to stay with them, but they didn't want to. They said they'd come back with me. When I get a full blown migraine, the only thing that gets rid of it is laying down and taking aspirin.

Of course, before we left, Mom tempted me with a treat.

Okay, the only thing that makes me feel better is strawberry shortcake, laying down, and aspirin. We picked them up and took them back to the room.

It hit the spot, and at that point I laid down and just passed out. My migraine definitely got the best of me.

Mom did laundry (yes, she does this even on vacation) and wrote in her trip journal, while Dad snoozed.

Laying down definitely made me feel better, but the migraine had also made me cranky at that point. I was feeling like I needed some alone time, or time with just my Mom, or something. I love my nephews, but they can be a little much at times. Especially when you're someone that doesn't have kids. I was feeling a little....oppressed. That's the best word for it.

Jason and Jeni came back, and I had mentioned to Mom and Dad that I wanted to go shopping Downtown at that point, with just them. They were all for it and we told Jason and Jeni. Jason's personality, as Jeni and I like to put it, is that he gets "butt hurt" about things. He didn't understand my desire to go shopping without everyone. Jeni on the other hand, God love her.....she looks at me and was like "dude...I get it. GO!"

Before we headed out, Joaquin was obviously bored by his surroundings.

Mom, Dad and I headed out. Jeni said that she and Jason would figure something out with the boys. To my understanding, they virtually did nothing until we met up again later that night.

The time away was exactly what I needed to just center myself and have a bit of a moment to breathe. Jason had frustrated me earlier that day, and I think that was the start of the headache that turned into the migraine. Shopping was a good way to relieve this. I actually barely bought anything at all, but it was a great way to just relieve some stress. And, you could tell I totally had a headache, because I have no idea what I purchased. For shame! The only thing I remember is that Mom and I bought both of the boys Duffy's, which we were going to give them the next day.

After a few hours wandering around, Jason and Jeni let us know they were Downtown with the boys and were planning on going into Disneyquest for about an hour or so. We headed down there and met up with them.

They had an awesome Wreck it Ralph in there.

Okay, we used to go to Disneyquest fairly often back in the day. Not much has changed, which I don't mind, but they did change the elevator entrance into it, which bummed me out! The Genie used to appear in the elevator to take you to your floor. They don't do that anymore. Now it's just an elevator. Lame.

It's pretty dark in there, but the first thing we did was head to Pirate's of the Caribbean. It was our favorite attraction ever since we started going there. You basically "drive" your ship and shoot cursed ships down to get gold. The boys were fans.

We spent some more time just playing games for the rest of the night. We actually ended up staying there until they turned off the machines.

It was a good way to end the night, even though part of the day was less than ideal.

We all hopped in the truck to get back to the hotel, and were treated to another stellar Joaquin conversation.

Jeni: Awww, Joaquin your face is so cute when you're tired! It gets so fat!

Joaquin: Yeah, well you're a fat mom.

Don't be shocked by this folks. Jeni does not get offended easily. We had a massive laugh about it.

It was a good thing that I took that break that afternoon, because as Jason and Jeni's anniversary present, Mom and Dad had told them to have a day to themselves. That day was tomorrow.

Up next: Danielle and the littles!

Shrunken head on a stick...hmmm...probably not a good thing with little brothers. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love me some Soarin'.

Sorry you ended up with a migraine. I have never had a full blown one. But I've had some doozie of headaches and no that aspirin and laying down is the only way to get rid of it.

Joaquin hanging upside down from the chair is a hoot. That kid just cracks me up every time.

Glad shopping helped you feel a little better.

Disney Quest. We only went once. After that first visit, we told the boys they closed it because it didn't go over very well. I know...bad mommy.

Oh dear...Danielle and the boys. I can hardly wait to hear about that.

You poor thing! As someone who has frequent, severe migraines I feel your pain! But to get one in disney is the pits! Glad you bounced back so quickly and took the time to take care of yourself. Hope the rest of your trip was pain free and that yedi took good care of you.

Super glad that some napping and alone time got you to feel better! And retail therapy! Always a good thing! I definitely get like that occasionally, and it sucks on Disney trips because you're kind of stuck with those people forever :rotfl: Glad you could get away!!

DQ always looks intriguing to me, I've never been, but do plan on it in the future! I've never been big into video games, but hey, it might be super fun for me!

Headaches suck. Headaches in Disney... End of the World Suck. I now always make sure to have some advil with me at all times. I feel for you Dani, I really do.

I totally get the need for a little alone time. It's really the main reason why I was always staying offsite. Big group in small hotel room... not gonna do it. I need my space.

Glad you were able to decompress at DTD and kind of get your bearings back. I know how tough that can be. But the upcoming day... ooh I see little people.

Ugh hate headaches...especially at WDW! They seem to come on so quick in that weather, at least for me they do! OMG the "butt hurt" totally happens in my family too! I would say more but my family reads the Dis too!!

I hate getting migraines in WDW. I almost always get 1 each trip when we go in July. The heat gets to me.

I know that it's sad to leave a park to lay down but it's got to be done.

Sorry you had that headache. Let's blame your brother ;)

Ugh - I hate migraines. It was in WDW that I discovered Excedrin Migraine and its my go-to drug now for any headache. Good old Tylenol, Aspirin, and Caffeine. Perfect combination.

I think a little alone time is sometimes a necessity on vacation. I'm sure that made it easier when you all reunited in later at DQ.

Ugh - so sorry that a good portion of your day was ruined by the stupid headache. It just sucks to feel unwell when you're on vacation! I hope that was the only such time on your trip.

And I sooooooo get how getting away from kids could help with the headache! :rolleyes1

Oh man, feeling sick in Disney is the worst :(

I feel ya on needing some alone time. Spending 24/7 with people can get overwhelming! So I'm glad you got some time to shop with your parents.

I've done DQ twice. I love the Pirates attraction too, although Cyberspace Mountain is my personal fave.

Ooo, glad that you were able to go back to rest to help get rid of the migraine. I totally understand needing to have some time away from the kiddos. There was a time during my trip with my cousins that Howard and I split up from them in Epcot because they wanted to shop in World Showcase and we wanted to get the rides in Future World. It was the PERFECT thing because even though they're not kids at all, I just mentally needed some time away from a bigger group. I can't even imagine if the group included energetic young ones!

I'm so sorry you ended up with a migraine! I feel for you!

The only thing worse than a migraine at WDW is a migraine at USF... It is SOOO LOUD there! Especially in the Marvel area!

I suffer from them also, and I was unfortunate enough to get one at both locations my last two trips and had to settle for Tylenol.

Now that I've been officially diagnosed with migraines I have been through about 15 different prescription migraine meds and finally found one that works so when I go in September I will be taking it with me! The brand new meds even work without having to get sleep.

Still enjoying your TR(s)...

Been there done that...or at least DW has with regards to migraines. She has them daily but to different degrees. If you've read any of our TR's you'll see where we've had a day during almost every trip that we had to stay in the room, lights out and no noise after medication. There is a new FDA approved head band with electrodes made by Cefaly (http://www.cefaly.us/?gclid=CPPx1Kbsob0CFbQWMgodGg8AAA) that we are looking at trying. But enough with that stuff....glad you made it through yours and forged on! I'm really enjoying your TR and looking forward to more.

I'm so sorry you got a migraine and I can totally relate to needing some kid-free time. Even though mine are now older, and girls :rotfl: (boys just seem to constantly be on the go!) I still feel the need to have some quiet "me" time on vacation, even if it's just 15 minutes :thumbsup2

Up next: Danielle and the littles!

Aah, good thing 'tomorrow' was not your headache day. I think you need to be at full speed to take care of two little boys! :goofy::tigger: ::yes::

I have not been in DisneyQuest yet. Drew has been a few times, and I think maybe Trent has. I'm not a bit into arcade games, and flashing lights and noise are not my favorite things. I would like to try a few of those individual rides, though. I kind of wish I could get a three activity ticket or something to take the girls in and do just those things and then leave. Right now, Brooklynn is just getting into doing the resort arcades a little. She likes the prizes. Bella just jumps from thing to thing and is fine 'fake' playing. Maybe when they are a little older, we'll give DQ a try.

Oof. Migraines are the absolute worst. If I ever get them, I may as well be dead to the world. Sorry you got one at Disney! I understand the need to just be... away from the madness, I guess. It happens. I'm glad that if you HAD to get a headache, it was the day BEFORE you spent the whole day with the boys!

Ugh the dreaded Migraine. Mine are allergy induced and probably a little dehydration too.

Last 2 trips on the last day I have been down with migraine. :headache:

Yup lights out and sleep if I don't get medicine in me and if I wake up with one chances are it is too late.

Glad you were able to get over it and still enjoy the evening. DQ is fun but the lights and noise can be too much.

Looking forward to Danielle taking on the littles. :thumbsup2

I know first had what Migraines can do to you. I remember how bad you were feeling.... Glad you were able to rest.

I use to get migraines like you, but for some reason they became less and less of a pain when I got them over the years. Not that they are fun, just not debilitating like they use to be. Thank the Lord.

Sometimes getting away from the hustle and bustle of things is just what you need. I'm glad you were able to get out to get what you needed. I love how you are still a Mama's and Daddy's girl, it's sweet. It's not often you see adult kids that close to their parents, it's refreshing. :goodvibes

Ooooh boy, a day with the littles. This should be fun!! :dance3:
