I know it's a busy time for dvc but my MIL and I just decided that we want to go the 25th - 29th. I called today and can get all the nights except the 27th at SSR.......the 27th is sold out everywhere.................however, on the disney website there are studios, 1br and 2br available at almost all the dvc resorts........

Cash nights and points nights come from different inventory. Cash inventory comes from the 4% of each resort that DCL owns. Also, when members trade out through the World Passport Collection, the Concierge Collection or to non-DVC Disney properties, DVC sells cash nights to pay for those reservations. So you will often see cash nights available, even when points nights are not.

I know but it's just frustrating that there are rooms just sitting there not being used when I need just one little measley night.

do you think i could get a disney collection room and just pay the $95 fee.......I could do 2 nights at SSR and 2 nights at say Contemp?

It will all depend on availability.

Plus it also depends on your use year. If you are in the last four months of your UY, you can't use your points outside of DVC.

I called back this morning and got a 1br at SSR for the whole time.

Awesome - who wants to stay in a studio when you can stay in a 1 bedroom anyway . Enjoy the vacation.
