I'm shaking my head at my aunt who is strapped for cash, wanting to take my grandmother to Indiana for a week next week, and spends $60 on 4 movies at Target yesterday. And she didn't want to spend $70 a couple weeks prior for a new disposable that needs to be replaced ASAP.

Every time I bring up "why do you buy so many movies?" She just throws out there that she spent $50 for the two of them to go to the theaters and buy snacks and a drink. Ok, most people don't go to the movies weekly, but you also don't need to throw out hundreds a month on DVDs. There's cheaper alternatives.

Well it's her money so she can spend it how she wants.

The grandmother in this story can spend her money on helping out for the party if she wants.

Hey, thanks. I looked and looked, and the only thing I could come up with was that it was locked/removed. Now you can add me to the confused as to why the two threads shouldn't just be combined. No reason for two.

Well how about this.. We can add this thread to "things that make you shake your head" because we can't figure out why a new thread was started..

So far all I've been figure out is that someones grandma brought meat to a party and if grandma didn't want to, grandma didn't have to.. Is that right?

I'll shake my head to that because when I become the grandmother I would hope I have enough "pull" to choose my favorite recipe to bring and the rest should be brought to me!!

me too! I read the post 5 times and still can't figure it out.
somebody's step great grandma was coerced into bringing meat and then that somebody spent money on eating out and bringing home take out? and a guy who doesn't work had a short check. huh?
