I feel as though we've done almost everything in the theme parks so I want to do something extra and different next trip. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I was thinking of trying a Wishes cruise, are these private or do you share the boat with other people?

For my DD4, I wanted to do either the grand adventures in cooking, the tea party or bibbidi botique. I'm pretty sure she'll love the tea party. Did any of you let your kids do this? What happenes and did they like it? I'm not too crazy about leaving her alone and taking off though!

Thanks for the help.

My son did the Wonderland Tea Party last September when he was three. (The age requirement was moved to four in the last year.) It was the highlight of his trip! He got to decorate cupcakes, eat yummy sandwhiches, play games with Alice and the Mad Hatter, and other fun stuff. He still talks about it, over a year later. I felt really good dropping him off there, and he wasn't worried about it a bit. I knew he'd love it, so I wasn't really worried about him being nervous, etc. I have some pics from the event on our photo site. Click the link in my signature and look at our Sept. 2006 trip. They let you go in with your child, get them settled, snap a few pictures, and then they kick you out! I spent the time exploring the shops and grounds of the Grand Floridian.

A few weeks ago, on our most recent trip, he did the Pirate Cruise Adventure, also at the Grand Floridian. He loved this so much! They went out on a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon, visited several beaches, followed clues on a treasure map, had a picnic, and all ended up with lots of "treasure". He thought it was the best thing ever! (There were just as many girls as boys on this cruise, by the way.)

That's the neat thing at WDW - there are so many things outside the parks!

Have you guys been to Fort Wilderness? They have pony rides that my little guy loves, and they have a great sing-a-long campfire in the evenings which is FREE and open to all Disney resort guests. Chip and Dale are usually there!

We did the Illuminations cruise in July, I am sure the premise of the trip is the same. We drove around for about a half hour and then went to see the show. They even let my dd drive the boat for a while, which was a huge highlight for her. The boat was private, you pay for it and its yours, but if you would like to include others to share the cost there is a thread around here somewhere. I think this was a great experience, especially for dd on her birthday. I dont know if you have a celebration, but they decorated the boat and had all the people on the bridge in Epcot sing happy birthday to her.

We did an Illuminations cruise this past August.
When you book it, you are paying for the entire cruise yourself....Disney will not book anyone else with you. If you decide to share it with others & split the cost, that is entirely up to you & you are free to go ahead & find someone to share it with. Disney won't do that for you.

My family of 4 shared the cruise with friends of ours who happened to be staying at BCV the same week we were. We had had it planned for several months.

We actually booked it as an Illuminations Birthday cruise because we did the cruise on my DD's b-day. We had a cake delivered to the boat too.

Had a great time! :thumbsup2
