I want to be under 200 pounds...Anyone else??

That is such an awesome story!!! :wizard: :lmao: I'm going to pass that one along.

And, my favourite restaurant at WDW is Ohana. It is a must do.

Amanda: Love the plate story--I have to keep that in mind when I start to binge because "I already ate one"

I've been slack this summer, and it shows--I weight as much as I ever have, and I feel pretty lousy. So, I decided today to be like AprilN on here who decided one day she would act as if she were healthy and slim. She lost over 100 pounds, and has exercised for something like 1000 straight days.

So, I have been very deliberate in what I ate today; I tried to eat like a healthy person would. I kept track of my foods on fitday, and feel really good about my choices. I also started out the day with a walk. I have my clothes laid out to go to curves tomorrow.

I need to lose 61 pounds to get to onederland. I can do this.

Love this group and the support I get from WISH.

Kind of depressed today. Weighed in and didn't lose a pound. I guess the good part of it is that I didn't gain any weight. It just gets frustrating when you walk 6-8 miles a day and you don't lose any weight. :sad1:

Hi
This is a little off topic, but what is a must do meal for you?? One that you cannot miss while at Disney?? I have one more table service and several more counter service (although the counter service ones are not that big of a deal).

Have a good weekend everyone!! :grouphug: Good luck!!! :cheer2:

Amanda

Amanda, I polled the family, and here are the results:
DS--Cape May Cafe Clam Bake at the Beach Club Resort
DD--Boma's at Animal Kngdom Lodge
DH--O'Cellar Steak House at Canada in Epcot
Myself--San Angel Inn at Mexico in Epcot

Of course, for all of us, the Tusker House in AK comes in second!

Have fun planning!

I certainly agree! I didn't lose anything this week either with having 2 great weeks. I know the heat has something to do with it, and working a different shift than I ususally do, but as you say, at least we haven't gained! I would think I would have melted a few pounds off working so hard! :rotfl:

It is a new week, and I am going to work on just losing one pound this week. Not too much, and certainly not too low. We can do it!

Off to work!

Great losses to all!

OMG!! 6-8 miles a DAY???? wow!!!! I am impressed. Oh , you will lose weight. Just remember, those valuable miles of exercise deserve only protein, veggies, fruit and some itty bitty carbs (grains)...........not 6-8 treats.
(not that I am saying you had 6-8 treats)...... :goodvibes

wow, I do 3.5 miles and I'm taking a rest after three days in a row. ha ha ha
Cheers for you!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Are you eating enough? I know that sounds like a crazy question, but all that work requires fuel. You don't want your body to think it is being starved and hold onto weight.

I think I am. I'm eating between 2,000 and 2,500 calories a day (This is based on a Sedetary Excersise Program - Not much Excersise). My maintain weight calorie goal is around 2,800 and 2,300 to lose a pound a week.

Now I had been losing weight every week, but about once a month I maintain my weight and don't lose anything.

Hermosa11,

Yeah I walk at Lunch which is usually over 3 miles and I walk at night close to 4 miles. I usually go over that, but it's within the 6-8 miles.

I need to take a day to rest and let my body heal. :)

Well, I just think it is amazing that you are getting so much exercise. I have to give you credit. I'm lazy. By the time I work all day and go home and cook, clean and do laundry there is no way I exercise. I basically collapse onto the couch about 8 pm and veg until bedtime.
:happytv:

Well I have the ultimate support in my wife who does the majority of that stuff at our house. By doing all that she gives me the opportunity to take an hour a night to walk.

Thanks for everyone's help today. I feel much better!

Can I jump in here and join the group? New to the boards but I have been lurking around for a few weeks.

Looking to get down to the 150's but I would just settle for 199 right now. After 4 high risk pregnancies, and being flat on my back for many of those months, I am pushing 280 now. But I am done having kids now, and it is my time to get in shape. It doesn't help that I have sedentary job, sitting for 10-16 hours per day. Hard to squeeze in time to workout.

I hear you. I work 9 - 10 hrs a day in an office setting and always said the same thing. However, I have been doing little things to increase my activity. For example:
I park in the farthest spot from the door. Really.
When I have to go up to the 3rd or 4th floors, I walk and don't take the elevator. I always walk down the stairs too.
When I have a quick question for someone, or just need to answer a question from them, I walk to their desk instead of sending an email. It makes me more visible (I'm in HR) and I get more exercise.

So, it isn't much, but I'm hoping that its true that every little bit helps.

Okay, :offtopic: I have a question. I am only asking here 'cause you all would understand.
I am going to DL end of Aug. ! :cool1: :Pinkbounc Now, it is going to be hot.
I sweat alot. DS and I will arrive at LAX via Southwest in morning. We will arrive at motel (CCI) and then go directly to park :cheer2: :tinker:
Next two days will be full days and then last day will be few more hours in park until pickup at 5:45pm. Now. I just know my blouses will be tired of the heat...I swear , will I need 7 blouses? (1st day (1); 2nd day (2blouses), 3rd day 2 blouses and then last day 2 blouses (includes one fresh one for airline).
Dang!!! I don't have 7 cool tops for DL! :confused3
Question: If I chose to woolite a blouse or two, would it dry? on hanger? :laundy:
I do not put my blouses in dryer to avoid any possible shrinkage.

Again, thx for opinions.....I just would not want to ask this on the community board :goodvibes ;) :thanks:

I want to share this cute ceramic I did a few years ago..... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hermosa....... :rotfl2: That ceramic that you made is great!! I started saying that I'm not fat.....just fluffy and now my mom says it and that is so funny that your little ceramic says the same thing!!! :lmao:

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your Woolite question!!

I feel gross!! I ate way too much pizza tonight and I wish I hadn't!!
Does everyone else "mess up" as much as I feel like I do???? :guilty:

Yes, I think we all do. The trick is to "get back on the horse" as soon as you "fall off". Most of the time I'm pretty good, but I beat myself up (probably too much) when I eat something I know I shouldn't.

Yesterday I ate 3 tiny hersheys candies that were on a co-workers desk in a large bowl and I spent the rest of the day thinking about how dumb that was.

Hi everyone. I just wondered over to this board. It seems a constant struggle with my weight and I was looking for support. So here I am. I would love to get on the scale and see 199. That would be a lose of 20 pounds and that would make me sooooo happy. So I have cut back the calories and added an hour of walking a day. The walking I try to vary so I get some flat walking and some more strenuous walking. So I hope to be popping over to these threads from time to time to get advice. Thanks! :)

Okay, I am going to pat myself on the back ....
Co-worker returned from Hawaii vacation. Being that I am so special to her ( :goodvibes ) I got a whole box of chocolate macadamia nuts. :thumbsup2
I then said to myself, gosh I just cannot bring this home! DH is away (he would eat up the whole dang box in one sitting)....DS I don't think likes nuts...
I can never remember.........and I know then I would eat the whole box!
So, since she and I struggle with our weight and I can say anything to her, I asked if I could put it out for people. She said sure! I have lost 16# so far and don't want to reverse myself. Soooo, I had one and then put it out at my desk for everyone to enjoy and they did! I had only the ONE piece!!!!

What did YOU do that you can pat yourself on the back for????
:cheer2: :grouphug: :cool1: :thumbsup2

I'm patting myself on the back because I did not go get a blizzard from Dairy Queen!! And I really wanted it!! But I didn't!!! YAY!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Who's next???

I worked all day and was exhausted but I still exercised and stuck to my diet this evening. (Evening is when I usually start snacking.)
:woohoo:

Instead of snacking last night I went to bed early. I had a good night's sleep and woke up to a normal breakfast this morning. No potato chips! Yay!
