I want the coach..Is it worth it? Ladies I need some help!

now I was a DL bride, but I am so glad that we had the coach! I think our ride in it was shorter than you WDW brides, but I think the sight of it pulling up to the rose court garden (I exited it and then walked up the aisle) made all our guests' mouths drop. Just like a fairy tale, they said! If you think for one second that you will regret later on not getting it, suck it up and do it...the memories (and photos!) will last you a lifetime... :)

It was in DL that I first saw the coach and decided there and then that I was gonna have it! We were on our honeymoon 10 years ago (had to get married in UK due to my husband's family, so a VR for my 40th B'day was my 'compromise'!) and we were walking around the park when I got my first glimpse of a bride in the coach. I was soooo excited that I flung my arm out, shouted that I'd seen someone getting married in the coach and ran towards it - a few minutes later (after gazing at the beautiful coach) I noticed Nigel wasn't with me so when I looked around I noticed him sitting on a wall with a pained look on his face.......in my excitement I hadn't realised that my arm must have been very low as I'd hit him in his 'crown jewels', so he was 'recovering'. Bless him, and he's still letting me have the coach next year!

On another note, does the coach in DL always have flowers/greenery around it, or is it an 'extra'? I've never seen any photo's without flowers, but on the other hand I've never seen the WDW one with flowers!! Are both the coaches identical?

in DL, the coach always has the flowers. They are silk and always on. The 2 coaches are quite different, actually. In DL, there is only 1 horse and all the flowers/greenery. In WDW, there are 6 (?) horses and no greenery...

thanks cryssi. Y'know I can't even remember the horse in DL, just the greenery and coach. Yes, it's 6 white Welsh ponies at WDW.

The other horse and carriage (not the cinderella one)...will that take you anywhere or just to the wp?

I think that's called The Landau. Not sure where you can use that one - have you searched on here, as I seem to remember someone mentioning something about it a while ago. I really like the look of that one (and it's lots cheaper too) but we had a navy Landau (to match Nigel's tail suit) with 2 golden Palamino's when we got married 10 years ago at home so wanted to go with my heart this time!

this thread shows pics and a little info, but I'll see if I can find more. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1194966&referrerid=&highlight=landau

this one might be better http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1005902&referrerid=&highlight=horse+carriage

I dont know, you gotta do what ya gotta do although my whole wedding wasn't much more than this Coach. But I also didn't have the means to have the wedding of my dreams so to say....but once it was all said and done I wouldn't trade it for the world. I planned and planned and planned and that was the most fun, my wedding day flew by and all I have is some pics and good memories. I would say if I had it to do over I would have hired a professional Photographer and had him take 1,000,000 pics. The gal that did mine did a good job but not near as good and many as could have been done. that is my only regret. Just do what you can and get awsome pictures of what you do have, and be thakful, cause you get to have your wedding at Disney and lots of us could never dream of that. Good luck with your descion

I would love to have the coach.
Did any of you have Cinderella's Coach at night? I wanted a 6 pm wedding... but I'm afraid photos and guests even wouldn't be able to see the coach. That is a lot of money to not be able to see it very well. Is it dark 6:30 ish in Florida in June?

It doesn't get dark until 8:00 or 8:30 in June in Florida thanks to daylight savings time.
