I want a white bedroom.

I must be going crazy! I am wanting to repaint our bedroom. This time I want all white with maybe a little blue trim. White bedding also I cant believe that I am thinking this. I am the person who has to have color. The front room and dininng room were a deep blue and a deep purple. then 2 yrs later painted them coffee bean and a cream color. One bathroom is lilac. Kitchen has been blue and yellow. At one time I had 5 diffrent colors in the main area.

I think I really would like the white bedroom. I flipped over a quilt which is white and laid it on the bed. I thought wow that looks nice. Then I got thinking, white curtains, white everything.

That's the normal color for a bedroom so it should't be a problem. In fact the interior of a house looks much better if it's all the same, usually white or just off white.

I can tell you are a man -- my husband and brother were just saying the same thing earlier -- leave the house white -- its easier for touchups, etc.

My SIL & I were both ugh! no way -- you need a little bit of color. My kids all have interesting bedrooms. I don't have white in any room in my house. All rooms are neutral, but lots of tans, browns, gold, etc......I love color in a house -- it makes it feel so much homier!

I love color, but have a bright breezy bedroom would work so well with white, and maybe some light blue or light purple. Like a bright sunny day outside where the sky is almost white rather than blue.

I would put up crown molding in white instead of a painted border. Then for curtains, use white and blue sheer to drape across the window. Find a simple reversible comforter for the bed. One side white, the other striped. And accent it with a flew pale blue pillows to match the sheer window dressing.

Changing colors does have a nice effect on your mood. And each color is good at something different. Blue is supposed to be calming, but you walk into a blue room so many times you don't feel calm, just bored with the color.

That's actually not a fact. It's an opinion. You are, of course, entitled to yours. Some people prefer color.

OP, that's the great thing about paint. You can change it easily! Have fun decorating!

The hardest part about white paint colors is that there are just so many of them. I love a lot of them. I have antique white in one of the bedrooms, but ours is Dover white (a slight hint of gold) which is a warm white. I also like Designer white, which is towards to taupe side, Linen white, moonlight white, etc. I love white paint. I prefer to add color with other things.

I once had a bedroom with Cherry Red walls and everything else white. Trim, Doors,Bedspread, curtains, etc... I loved having one deep color and everything else white that I did it again in a bedroom in my next house, except next time it was with deep blue walls and everything else white.

I like red walls......in other people's houses. When we were in the midst of house hunting, of which we are no longer, I saw so many red dining rooms. All I could think of was how many coats of paint will it take to get rid of it.
