I wanna do a scrapbook cruise with DCL!!

I love to scrapbook! I love Disney! I wanna do a scrapbook cruise on DCL! Anybody else feel that way? Have it ever been done?

Creating Keepsakes has cruises but not Disney. They do have a scrap convention at WDW every year though. We are trying to plan a group trip in 2008.

I would love to Cruise and Scrap but does DCL have the space to put something together? We would need a room to set up tables and such. And then you would have to entice vendors too. I doubt I could go on a scrap cruise and not buy something!

I guess it's just me, but i wouldn't want to scrap ON a DCL cruise.. Way to much other fun "disney" stuff to do...LOL

I am pretty sure that DCL has rooms for meetings and such. I should call and find out!

No a scrap convention at WDW in August of 2008. The have one every year which is co-ordinated by Dream Events Inc.

Now THAT would be hard to do (scrap at WDW). I guess the cruise would be, too, unless it's the cruise that goes to the Bahamas. I would rather scrap than go to the Bahamas!

It is hard but we scrap all day and hit the parks at night when it's a bit cooler. The room is open 24 hrs a day so we can go scrap at 2 am if we want.

Ya, i would do the WDW crop before the DCL crop.. remember, just cuz the cruise goes to the Bahamas doesn't mean you have to get off the boat.. There is tons of things going on right on the boat!

End of August. They are currently revamping their website so I can't get the exact dates. I want to say 21st - 24th but I'm not sure so don't quote me on it.

I would be very interested in the WDW crop too, for 2008.... just another excuse to get back!! (Even though we are also going in Nov '08!) My MIL wants me to go - just so she can bring my dd and come as a sitter! LOL Works for me!
And - if i remember, the rates i had seen for '06 were VERY reasonable, since the room was included at the YC! So -- if they keep it at the YC, then i am DEFINATELY game! We stayed there this past november, and it's beautiful!

The reason it was at YC was because they reached capacity for the convention center at the Contemporary. I loved YC but CR was really nice too and having monorail service was a plus. The cost varies greatly depending on how many people share a room and how many days you stay but I think it was less than $300 a person if 4 people shared a room for 2 nights and 3 days of scrapping. Some of the packages include dinner and Sunday breakfast too. It was roughly $500 for me and DH, it would have been cheaper if he had scrapped too.
The biggest expense is airfare, but I'm sure people can get some really good deals. Oh and you can get discounted park tickets too. They have an after 2pm ticket for convention goers.
