I *used* to like Rosie O'Donnell

I'm watching The View today and Rosie O'Donnell is really getting on my nerves. She came out like she had a chip on her shoulder, she's chewing gum, she is just generally annoying me.

Yes, I know, change the channel. I just miss the "old Rosie" who was so much fun. When she had her show a few years ago I loved watching her.

Did you see her singing "Let It Go" with the two little girls the other day? OMG, I thought Whoopie would fall off her chair! Her voice was so annoying.

I posted about this episode under the ”Bill Cosby... opinions" thread. I'm not savvy about transferring here or I would. I'm not confident I can type all that again without jeopardizing my own blood pressure. Wow!

That's funny! I am watching thinking how much I like the View now that Rosie is back.

I am disliking Whoopi more and more. I wouldn't be sad if she left the show.

OMG, did you hear her? Whoopi moved her chair back and Rosie said "what, you're mad?". Whoopi said "no, I'm just moving my chair". Rosie was spoiling for a fight today.

I can understand and tolerate most view points, but I can't stand it when someone can't do the same.

She was like a little kid with their fingers in their years going, "lalalalalalala". She was NOT hearing anyone.

I had posted when there was a thread like this when she was picked to join The View, that they couldn't even get any shots of her for the trailers and promo where she didn't have that 'Bite-Me' look.

Anyhow, I have never watched or liked The View either.
Even before Rosie O'Donnel joined the panel.

Rosie O'Donnell has always been a bully, even in her "nice" days. She just had more control over it back then IMO because she had more to lose.

As a PP mentioned I'm open to hearing all sides and am a big believer in "agree to disagree." I'm generally a person who can disagree with you and still respect where you're coming from and still like you. What I can't take is people who try to force their opinion on you, scream and talk over you and generally refuse to discuss. This is Rosie O and the bigger she has gotten the worse she's become. I said in a thread here not too long ago I didn't think her "nice" would last long. Should have taken bets!

I don't like Rosie O'Donnell at all, but I rewound when she said that to Whoopi and Whoopi made a face and rolled her eyes before moving the chair. So I understand why Rosie asked her if she was mad.

I think Rosie has her own personal stuff. And it's pretty clear that she has her mind made up about the guilt vs innocence of Bill Cosby. She came in prepared to fight. I think you have to hand it to the other ladies for being able to carefully discuss the issue without setting her off. Rosie has always been like this. She has strong opinions and is not easily swayed. You will either like her or hate her.

It's not even so much that she can't be swayed but that she refuses to even consider or listen to another point of view and won't accept that there can be more then one point of view. Just because you listen doesn't mean you have to agree. Not a great trait to have for the current line of work she's in.

I commented under Bill Cosby.....opinions that I'd not have wanted to be in the audience. Second only to not being that stick of chewing gum! That, must have been her attempt at keeping her mouth shut.

I liked Rosie O about 20 years ago. A League of Their Own and a few other things she was in. I caught her morning talking show a few times circa 2000/2001 and that was OK too. But she's been divisive and almost intolerable ever since.

I don't normally watch the show, so I'm not sure how she normally behaves, but I caught it today while in the waiting room of my doctor's office.

To me, it looked like she was very upset and about to cry at any minute. I don't know her history (if she is a rape victim?) but it seemed very personal to her.

I didn't think badly of her after watching it, just that it seemed she was very emotional about it. Again, I don't watch the show, so don't know if she is always like that or not.

I just finished watching it and that seemed like anger to me. I do know they don't go into these discussions totally cold, there's always some discussion before they come out. I think she came on angry. They all were going out their way not to set her off.

A little OT but good on Nichole for stepping right in and taking over for Whoopi when she broke down.
