my ds is making fun of me......................:confused3 oh well, I am happy..................Disboards help to crave the cravings..............a bit!:cool1:

I go to sleep most nights thinking about my trip plan:cloud9:.

Yes, but do you mentally compose your "hasn't even begun to happen yet" trip report??

If you don't know what a trip report is, don't ask - you don't need a new addiction!

DH thinks I'm nuts but now that I found the DIS I agree with him:rotfl2:

He's laughing at me when I tell him about the binder I'm making that will help us at WDW - We'll see who gets the last laugh!! I won't tell him about Fastpass and that the coconut chicken at Kona Cafe is awesome:p

Have a magical day everyone:flower3:

2 weeks ago, I got an urge to visit Disney's web site. Hours later I'm planning a vacation - then I discover DIS....

:rotfl2:
I am right there with you! We found out we were getting a good sized tax refund. I thought yay, we can finally go to WDW. I got online to check prices. Googled for discounts. I ended up here. I quickly decided that this years tax refund would not be enough to do the trip right! After all with 180 days needed for ADR's and all the planning and notecards to make to guide my WDW adventure I needed more time. We decided to go next year and put a good sized deposit down with this years refund as soon as we settle on dates. At least if I make the deposit I know I will not spend the money on a Wii or a new tv lilke DH wants!!!!

I too am addicted now to trip reports, staying up until the wee hours reading them. I have obsessed and compaerd, then discussed with DD (who is as obsessed as her mom) which places we will eat. Which character meals, which other places. THen there is the whole where to stay issue. (DD and I decided POP would be best for us)

They really do need a 12 step program. I was driving DH crazy but now he has a friend at work who just came back and he is talking about it. He is actually getting excited. A few days ago he would not listen to me. MAybe he is not as grumpy as I thought!!!

I get to go to Disney World!!!! :cool1:

Hi there :wave2:
But wouldn't life be dull without DIS ::yes::

I'm glad i'm not the only :scared:

Don't worry.Welcome to the board=)
It's fun! haha

Anyway, thanks for the idea about a binder for my planning.I'm going in may so a weekend or so before I'll make one lol.:p

Hi. I'm Pooki, and I am a DISney-holic ;)

Same story with me...went 3.5 years ago...had a blast. Went this past December, did a little more research than I did the trip before, and stumbled across this site. Lets just hope that the IT department at my work doesn't check the internet usage log before I move in June! :rotfl2:

OMG, don't get the chance to use the computer much at work, but I had to find a wine review today & actually had to sit on my hands from "checking up" on the DIS. My manager gave me a very strange look.

haha, i totally know the feeling. I actually have to tell myself not to go to the dis when I'm on the internet for work purposes. It is so hard to keep myself from looking up information & daydreaming about my vacation.

When my husband comes home from work , instead of how was your day he says were you on Dis boards all day ? Thinks he's funny But he knows I can't walk by the computer without getting on here.

LOL that sounds just like me. My husband says I spend too much time on the computer...but I say it is all for a good cause so that we can have a great vacation.

Normal? My entire family thinks I'm a freak. In the evenings, I'm planted on the couch with my laptop.:surfweb: ..I'm sure my husband is planning an intervention of some sort on my behalf:lmao:

I tell him the same thing it is for a good cause. To make our trip the best. I say I need to find new things to do each trip right I don't want you to be bored. hehe .... He came back at me two days ago when my 13 year old was giving me a hard time and told me to go find some answers on the Dis board. haha..only because I never take his advice.

I have to admit that I'm on the road to no return as well. I had a dream about Dole opening a dole whip store in Houston! I was so sad that I missed them on my last trip they are all I can think about. I better get one next trip which is Sept/Oct 2008. I've started planning and saving as well.

Is there some kind of 12-step program I can join???

Obviously you do not have "it" all the way yet. Why look for a 12-step program? Why not just accept the inevitable? Hey, you're hooked.

Take a deep breath. There . . .

Now, let's try it again. This time, when you take a deep breath, close your eyes.

Did you see pixie dust? If so, a 12-step program is both unnecessary and too late! :rotfl2:

As many have already said, "Welcome to the club!"

:upsidedow I've given up the battle - I'm a DW/DIS addict & I wouldn't have it any other way! Besides, DFi is happy not to have me yapping all my random thoughts at him - now I post them on the DIS. He also seems to think I'll "forget" about going to DW next year - little does he know.......
