I have a ton of homework to do and just can't get motivated to even start it. I did a one page paper last night and I have to lead a discussion tomorrow with a couple other people for a class so I prepared for that but other than that I just can not seem to get going. For my criminology class I have to write a 6 page paper and watch a 45 minute movie then do a worksheet on that. This was all assigned Friday and due Monday. She assigned it after we discussed going to a play and when we all would be available to go. We suggested a Friday night. She said "No, I don't really want to go Friday night. I do have a life" And we don't? Between school and work today is my first day off in 2 weeks. One day a week I have a 12 hour day (work from 8:30 to 5:30 then class from 6 to 8:30 and then home to do homework). And then on top of my criminology work I have math homework, a chapter to read for my human development class, and a paper to write for one of my psych classes. AAAAHHHHH!!!! And I just can't seem to pry myself away from the fabulous but addictive DIS. I just keep telling myself 2 weeks from right now I'll be in Disney and a few hours away from watching Fantasmic! And to think I wanted to get all this done before the grammy's tonight. Looks like that's not gonna happen...

Anybody want to be my personal cheerleader to get me motivated? hahahaha

You can do it, simba!

I was lucky because somehow, I was never too busy or bogged down with assignments during my school career. But toward the last few years of college, I had such a difficult time starting/finishing papers/assignments because I would check the Internet every 5 minutes, whether a celeb gossip site, recipes, whatever! Then I'd have a jolt of creative energy and I'd write two or three pages, and then it was back to the distractions again. I always ended up with great grades, but it was not advisable to work that way because doing school work last minute ... what if you have computer problems or need help with the assignment and you run out of time? That's why I told myself, let's say the paper is 8 pages ... you have so many hours in the day, so if you write a page everyday, you'll still have plenty of time left over to do fun stuff. It was better than writing the night before it's due. That helped me a lot. It was such a lifesaver to have all of that extra time to check, double and triple check my paper (I've always learned you should edit your work onscreen as well as on a printed copy, as your eyes see both differently and can catch mistakes on the paper that they couldn't have seen onscreen), add or take away information, and make it the best.

Think about your Disney trip and how you can have fun and relax knowing that all of that schoolwork is behind you!
