I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

Hooray for your wait lists coming through!! BWV, ohhhh I can't wait to hear all about that!
I saw pictures of Nick's move on Facebook. Hope he's getting along really well there so far!
YIKES to the weather and the plane ride! My heart was in my throat just reading about it! And not fun to arrive to a packed airport either. BUT at least you made it safely! :thumbsup2
Glad you got into Epcot in time to eat and see IllumiNations.
Your resort looks really lovely!
You definitely made it by Rope Drop, ears in the way or not. ;)
I guess you're going to Enchanted Tales with Belle. Or Under the Sea. :woohoo:

First of all,   that your wait lists came through! Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?! :thumbsup2

That flight sounds ROUGH! Yikes. I am not good with turbulence; it's the dropping that makes me sick to my stomach. But as you said, all's well that ends well and you got to MCO safely.

The resort looks nice! And a great location.

LOVE driving through those magical signs! PERFECT!

And I'm with you, I thought that every Annual Pass just had parking included; I wonder if you got a new cast member that didn't know any better?

I have yet to catch that opening show at MK; I WILL do it one of these days. I might even try to catch it one morning in December, even though I might not go into the park depending on crowds. I just want to see that ceremony at least once!

On the insurance issue, some charge cards pay for the deductible if you charged the rental with that card. A rock flew up & broke the windshield of our rental van. Our car insurance paid it & our credit card paid the deductible.

Okay I have to confess I didn't get the "funny" at first , so please don't give me an EARful:rotfl2:arEllen I will also miss you by a couple of days , we depart on th 22nd also soo sad:sad1::sad1::sad1:

I know it wasn't for me, but thanks for the info on the rental cars. I checked them out this morning and changed my reservation for CA, saved $25.

Awesome! Hey - saving $25 is two drinks. That's the way I look at it! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you were able to save a little. It's the rental car game.

Congratulations! :thumbsup2

I am very excited to be staying at the BWV again. I just love that resort!

::yes:: I'm sure you get to sample some things in it don't you?

Now, would I be signing up if there was no taste testing involved? You should know me better than that by now. :rotfl:

Hmmm... driving causes heart problems, flying causes you to plunge towards the ground a high rate of speed. Hmmm... tough call. :rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2:

Good point. I will say that Denny seem very undisturbed by the whole flight thing. Just sat there and read. Totally oblivious. :scared:

Well, you saw the pictures we took of vehicles in Tennessee. You definitely have a built in excuse! :lmao::rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Good point! I hadn't thought of that!

Really? I thought Indiana had some odd laws. You can get it in a grocery store. It just can't be cold. Or Sunday.

That is an interesting law. I guess I sort of get it. If it's not cold you're not going to drink it in the car unless you are horribly desperate. But no Sundays? We used to have no Sunday sales here, but that was over 10 years ago. Maybe more.

 Don't do it!!!!

That seems to be the general consensus. :scared:

Ok, no I haven't. I just prefer to leave the margarita stuff to the liquor experts and the beer to the breweries. I don't know I guess I'm just old fashioned. Something about a lime a rita poured from a can just doesn't do it for me. :confused3

You're right. The whole rita and beer thing doesn't seem to mesh. But something about that packaging intrigues me. Not completely sure why. :confused3

Looks very nice. Maybe not Disney, but you could do a lot worse!

It was a fairly nice resort. The villa itself was well maintained. I was very pleased especially considering the price we paid.

Always a good thing!

You're not kidding. That's the first thing I thought about when I saw those stairs and no elevator. :sad2:

I don't recall having ever seen a bright pink Mickey hand. :lmao:

Maybe it was a laundry mishap? Red towel plus white mickey hand? Hey - it could happen. :rotfl2:

Seems to be a fairly universal reaction around these parts.

Since you're bringing it up, I'm going to assume that is a yes. :rotfl2:

Sadly, yes its a yes. :faint:

I'll change a flight for $5 so $25 was a must. :rotfl: I always think what I could buy with that money, and/or how long it takes me to earn it. I have them bookmarked, thanks for the tip :)

Lost? Say it isn't so! I'm thinking Fronteirland or Liberty Square, only because those are places I seem to get turned around.

They are pretty good, but A LOT of sugar for such a little can, and from the intense sweet, I'm safe in saying it's high fructose corn syrup. I can't tell you how much because as you know, alcohol isn't regulated by the FDA, and therefore doesn't have to have all it's ingredients listed let alone caloric count.

I am sure they are chocked full of high fructose corn syrup. I really don't enjoy sickening sweet drinks like that. They kind of make me feel sick. I do believe the calorie account is essential. It should be there. If you are in denial then don't look.

Our fine Treasury Dept. (naturally-right?!?) is who over sees alcohol regulations (from the prohibition days-if you are wondering why them), are under no obligations to list such things.
Of course the beer, wine and liquor companies are fighting labeling, tooth and nail, they don't want to list anything because a well informed customer may no longer become a customer when they know how many calories they're drinking, not to mention some of the icky ingredients they put into them.

It's funny that alcohol can be exempt from the same standards as other things we consume. It doesn't seem right. Totally doesn't make sense.

All I can say is, if you are concerned with what's in your beer, stick to German made beers, they are under an obligation to stay pure in their making of beer. Americans.....not so much. :sad2: A friend said to me that American beers are the McDonalds of beers, and I have to agree with him.
Here's a great article on what is in our beer....
http://foodbabe.com/category/most-controversial/ -(Food babe is a great source for what is in our foods, drinks, and products we put on/in our bodies)

That's interesting. I really didn't know that. Hmmmmm....definitely something to think about when choosing a beer.

Ticks me off really. BUT! This may change soon (at least for those companies who will want to participate), I believe there is a huge push for there to be listing of ingredients (you really do NOT want to know what is in some beer these days) since they, like the cosmetic industry (you REALLY don't want to know what is in your makeup :scared:) can put anything in their products, (aaaand pretty much do :scared:) and get away with it without having to answer to anyone. http://news.yahoo.com/nutritional-labels-coming-alcoholic-drinks-192459320.html

I definitely think nutritional labels should be on all consumable products. Thanks for sharing that information. :thumbsup2

Sorry to go on a rant. :rotfl: As you can see, I'm a woman who likes to be informed. I get the feeling you are as well, that's why I shared.

Totally not a rant. I get it. I am sure you couldn't have made such a lifestyle change without paying attention to labels along the way.

Sorry about Maximus, hoping he will pull through and not cost you another arm and leg. I kinda like seeing you in the pictures, not to mention up walking around and able to take pictures to share with us. :thumbsup2

He is doing much better. Thanks! I still have NO idea what happened to him, although my latest theory is he got sick for licking pizza sauce off a home made pizza Denny was making. Apparently he licked off the entire pie. I did not KNOW that. :faint:

:rotfl2: Now I feel better.... :lmao:

As you should! :scratchin

Laughing not because the ear was there but more that you mentioned it.... Now I am like ...what opening show there is an ear.....:rotfl2:

It IS distracting, isn't it? :rotfl2: I mean - it's an EAR! :rotfl2:

I would tend to think once you start plummeting to the ground, you need to know.

I think you probably WOULD know. :rotfl2: Fortunately, we were exactly plummeting, but it was just an uneasy landing.

I am guessing everyone got quiet so maybe they could hear directions .... but there were none. Maybe everyone just held their breath.

No clapping upon a safe landing ?

I really don't think anyone was too concerned. It was more me because I am such a clock watcher and I knew we kept circling. Everyone else was quiet, but very calm and mostly oblivious. Well, except for the space mountain jolt.

We had a descent like that in Denver. We are weird though. It's Denver, there is always turbulence. They warned the entire plane and did cabin check, etc early. Still people screamed and they had to then tell them what causes turbulence.

We however were expecting it and kind of laughed when it happened..as if it WAS a ride. In Orlando though, you don't expect it. I've had one landing like that and it was a surprise, it's pretty rare there it seems, the flight crew was surprised as well. I am quite sure though that Tampa would not have been any better.

I definitely didn't expect that because that was one big bump. Despite the weather, it was relatively calm. That just came out of the blue.

Your Denver experience reminds me - best take off experience - Jackson Hole. There are mountains on all three sides so you basically take off straight up and then do a 360 to get the heck out of there. That's like a ride, too!

UGH and ICK

The rental car and baggage does not sound like fun at all

That leaking roof was pretty icky and the rental car line was not fun. Usually there is no wait.

Oh what a bummer! Were all the TS locations closed or did you just go for whatever was closest at that point given the hour.

I went for the closest. Well, not exactly the closest, but I thought I would have the best chance of a walk-in. I also just wanted to try something new.

Love the ponchos!

We got those last summer when we toured UD and we never used them. So glad I found them because I waited until the last minute to look for ponchos and that's all I had.

It's bud light. Pretending to be a margarita. All of it is wrong on so many levels!

You're right - I am NOT a fan of bud light or sugary ritas. Still, there is something about that packaging that makes me want to try one. :confused3

UGH. Any clue what the snafu was? I probably need to make note for when I pick up my PAP in December. We will have a car for a couple of days. May or may not use it to get to the parks but I do want to make sure I have it covered in case we do.

I meant to look at my AP. I think there are three different color plastic strips on the bottom of the AP. It's plastic now, not that tyvek type material. One strip doesn't include parking and that's the stripe they gave us. I just don't think the CM was paying attention to it.

A peek of the opening show is FAR better than no opening show, any day of the week!

True. Very True!

I pulled mine out and it specifically says in a red stripe
PARKING 2013-2014

I did think that was odd because I thought all APs had free parking. :confused3

I love those Strawritas. :thumbsup2

The CS in Morocco is one of our favorites.

Sorry it has taken me so long to catch up.

Great article Millie.

Sounds like move in day went pretty well & despite needing a nap that bike ride sounds lovely! Enjoy your empty next, winter break is around the corner!!:rotfl2:

woot woot for your BWV wait list coming through.

I am VERY excited about that. I loved staying there during F&W. It made it such a great experience because there was no preplanning to go to Epcot. Just hop in and out whenever I felt like it. Perfect!

What sort of mixology seminar did you sign up for? My SIL and I are signed up for a Bacardi Rum mixology seminar.

I don't think it was a specific brand of booze rather a specific bartender. I'll have to read the description again. Really doesn't matter to me what we will be drinking as long as it tastes yummy! :rotfl:

speaking of drinks, I agree with the comments above. Bud Light Rita is really confused. True that I am not a fan of beer or margaritas but the combination of the two is pretty meh. Not worth the calories in my book.

I'm sure its a lot of calories. I do like beer and I do like rita-s, although I am not a fan of bud light. Probably just about the last beer I would pick to drink. :rotfl:

what an awful landing. Bad enough to have to wait out bad weather at 50000 feet but your landing sounds really stressful.

Let's just say that we were on the ground fairly fast once we started to descend. The worst parts were (1) that big bump and (2) not being able to see a thing as we descended. :scared1:

For arriving so late you did get to do a fair amount just getting settled in and then taking care of your PAP and TIW. and what better way to end a travel day than with fireworks? I was at an amusement park this past weekend with family and as it got darker and darker, I thought "how sad...no parade, no fireworks". nope, not spoiled at all:rotfl:

:rotfl2: Disney does have a way of raising the expectations, doesn't it? I am so glad we got into Epcot for dinner and a showing of Illuminations. It was a great way to end the day. :thumbsup2

Polynesia looks nice. I did actually call them to do pricing inquiries for next June. My youngest sister & her family will likely do an off property site due to the cost, though I'm hoping she will pick on property just for the EMH.

I just looked at the prices for next June and they are HIGH! More than twice what I paid for last year. I'm sure it will drop. I would have your sister look at VRBO if they are sold on an off site stay. I think some of the housing rentals are definitely worth the price and a lot of them have private pools. Many of them have specially decorated Disney rooms. Definitely worth a look.

Shhh I frequently get turned around in the parks. Joe is my navigator....I don't know why I even argue with him because he is always right. but don't tell him!

:rotfl2: Ok I won't. I am always the navigator because Denny is totally directionless, so it is a bit embarrassing when I get turned around. :rolleyes1

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks Scott! I appreciate that!

Beautiful pics in that town.

Beaufort was really a neat little town. I'm glad we were able to visit.

You really were a stalker. LOl

Not intentionally, of course! :laughing::rolleyes1

Cute school bus.

There were a number of cute and odd things in Beaufort. Definitely a lot to see and photograph!

Creepy cemetery. Me no like. LOL

:rotfl: I know - that cemetery in Beaufort was crazy scary. I would NOT want to be there after nightfall.

Charleston looked so pretty. Too bad about the short amount of time.

Next time we go to Charleston I think we definitely need to stay a couple nights. It's too much of a tease to only drop in for a couple hours.

Ooh Pedro. I remember him fondly from my childhood.

You have no idea how bad I wanted to go to South of the Border as a kid. I remember all my friends talking about stopping there on the way to Florida. I really felt deprived. Imagine that? :rotfl2:

Poor Max.

It's a good thing I love him as much as I do because he really is high maintenance. ::yes::

Crying babies are the worst but nothing you can do. :O(

There were a few TOO many crying babies on that flight. You really had to work to tune it out.

I would have been crying in the plane. I always go down the escalators all the way to the bottom and go to the bathroom then just walk right over to ME. Maybe not next time being we are renting a car. Hmmm. I might need Depends. LOL

:rotfl2: I'm sure you will be fine. :rotfl2:But bring the depends, just in case!

Never had the Mocorrita. I think I need to try it.

It'a very refreshing and not overly sweet. I'm sure its a million calories, but calories don't count on vacation!

The resort was pretty.

For the price we paid and the location I was very pleased. It worked out just great.

I keep trying to convince Vinny we need to buy into VGF. Wish me luck in December we do an add-on.

Maybe once he sees it. It really IS stunning. I never expected to do an add-on, it was Denny who suggested it. :faint:

All caught up again.

:thumbsup2

Hope Nick has a fantastic year! He'll be home when the laundry piles up. ;)

:rotfl2: Actually, his GF goes to school there and she offered to take his laundry home with her since she has a car on campus. ;) Thank you! I hope he has a great year too. All 8am classes. :faint: He texted me yesterday that he wants me to bring him a bike because he wants to go back to his dorm and sleep after his 8am class and its a hike.

I saw a friend of mine last night who has just left his daughter at Pepperdine, which is a million miles away from 'Podunk', Tennessee! That's a HUGE leap!

Wow - now that IS a huge leap. I hope your friend is adjusting OK. The furthest Nick considered going was Georgia Tech, but he only got waitlisted there. If he had gotten in it would have been hard to turn that down.

The feel of the start of a vacation is incredible!

It really is. I LOVE it! :cool1:

Nice updates! Glad you made it safely, but wow what a rainstorm!!! Appropriate you were greeted by ducks! :rotfl: At least it wasn't so bad you couldn't make the IG! And you got some food and still made IllumiNations! I recognize where you were standing.......I have some identical pictures to that with the island in the way!!! :thumbsup2

Ah, yes, the cute little ducks. There always seems to be a lot of them at the BC and BW.

I was thrilled we were able to get into Epcot for dinner and to see Illuminations. It was a great kick-off to the trip.

Polynesian Isles looks like a really nice offsite property to stay! And great news that Denny didn't have a repeat of the HHI chest pains this trip!!! :goodvibes

I was very pleased with our resort choice. For what our priorities were it worked out perfect. I don't think I could have found a better off site property for the price. And :cool1: yay for no chest pains!

Too bad you got held up so much heading into MK for the opening show. That was some more huge crowd you were behind!:(

I was a little bummed about that, but it was really a small hiccup in the grand plans.

As an insurance agent, I advise my customers this: If you are involved in a God Forbid accident in a rental car and you have not taken their insurance, you must pay your deductible (and the amount of rental income they lose while the car is being repaired). So, depending on what they charge and what your deductible is, it might be beneficial to take their insurance. On a short trip 3-4 days, with one driver, it will cost you approximately $100. If your deductible is $500 (average nowadays), you could potentially save $400+. This is all IMHO. It's a gamble either way...like most insurance.:scratchin

Thanks for chiming in on that. I guess I figure if you add it every time you rent a car you will reach a point where you have spent more on insurance than your deductible. We have only had one mishap with a rental car. That was a van that we rented in Colorado. Denny took out the side view mirror backing out of the garage. Our credit card covered that deductible so we didn't owe anything. Phew!

Yeah, I wish we had done this a few months ago. My brother in law ran over something on the interstate that caused bumper damage to a rental van - had to pay $500 deductible and their insurance went up! Live and learn :sad2:

What a bummer! That stinks because stuff like that is almost impossible to avoid, although I know technically you are supposed to be able too. :sad1: That really stinks!

Hooray for your wait lists coming through!! BWV, ohhhh I can't wait to hear all about that!

I am SO excited we are staying there for 5 nights! :cool1: I have had a couple 3 night stays there and its just NOT enough! This will definitely give us a chance to settle in a bit better. I know one thing, there is NO way we will be lucky enough to get the view Cynthia and I had. But its still going to be a great stay.

I saw pictures of Nick's move on Facebook. Hope he's getting along really well there so far!

He texted me that its going well, but he's tired. :rotfl2: Imagine that! Then he texted me that he wants me to drop off a bike. He's dorm is probably a 15 minute walk and he wants to go back after his 8am classes and sleep. :rotfl: Can't say I blame him.

YIKES to the weather and the plane ride! My heart was in my throat just reading about it! And not fun to arrive to a packed airport either. BUT at least you made it safely! :thumbsup2

Exactly. Safety first. I can deal with some inconvenience for that. In some ways the packed airport was more distracting than the bumping flight!

Glad you got into Epcot in time to eat and see IllumiNations.

So am I. That was my goal. It would have been nice to get there sooner, but I really did want to check in first in while there was still daylight (although not much)

Your resort looks really lovely!

It fit the bill for what we needed. I am happy with our choice. Definitely not Disney, but an acceptable substitute.

You definitely made it by Rope Drop, ears in the way or not. ;)

:rotfl2: That darn ear!!!!!

I guess you're going to Enchanted Tales with Belle. Or Under the Sea. :woohoo:

Darn Wendy, sometimes I think you know me too well! ;)

Yay for the wait list coming through!

That flight would have me terrified! I'm not too scared to fly, obviously, since I have done it many times in the past few years and I prefer it to driving long distances, but I'm just scared enough that I say a few dozen Hail Mary's before take off! That MIGHT have made me look at DH and say, "You know, I'd be okay driving to Disney World next time." :rotfl:

Yuck for arriving in a downpour! That happened to us on our '09 trip and it's no fun trying to navigate your way around Orlando in the rain.

You know I live in a state that doesn't serve alcohol in grocery stores, so I always have to take a picture.

Really?!?! I didn't even know such a thing existed! I have lived in "dry" cities that won't sell liquor on Sundays, but I've never heard of not selling alcohol in grocery stores! I am not a drinker at all, but I have to say I'm pretty fascinated by this, much as I guess you are by seeing alcohol in a grocery store. :lmao: So can it only be bought at a dedicated liquor store? We have those too, and some of them are drive thru! Not to mention all the drive thru daiquiri shops everywhere.

I've totally gotta agree on the offsite thing...it is really magical to start off every day driving under that beautiful WDW sign!!! Of course, I'll take staying inside the gates any day at Bonnet Creek, but it is a way to cushion the blow so to speak of staying in Kissimmee. :goodvibes

That's pretty crazy that with an hour to get there, you still only JUST made it in for the start of the welcome show! I guess that's summer for you. Ugh and I hate that lens fog, so annoying! But at least you got into the park at opening. Although there were a lot of people there with you, y'all still had a jump on a LOT more people who don't get there until lunchtime. Suckers! :rotfl:

Your offsite resort looks very pretty! And, it sounds like the location was an A+ too.

I have to ask...what did you order at the counter service in Morocco? It looks good!

First of all,   that your wait lists came through! Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?! :thumbsup2

I am very psyched about the waitlist coming through. I was excited to have 3 nights there, but 5 is even better. :cool1:

That flight sounds ROUGH! Yikes. I am not good with turbulence; it's the dropping that makes me sick to my stomach. But as you said, all's well that ends well and you got to MCO safely.

We sure did get there safely. It was just that one bump and the incessant circling that got to me. It was more the anticipation of having a possible problem. I must put more faith in the pilot I guess. :rolleyes1

The resort looks nice! And a great location.

It really was a good location for off site. Longest ride was to MK and that was about 15 minutes.

LOVE driving through those magical signs! PERFECT!

Can you ever get tired of that view? Rain or shine, it really is one of my favorite signs on earth. :worship:

And I'm with you, I thought that every Annual Pass just had parking included; I wonder if you got a new cast member that didn't know any better?

Clearly something was up. I mean just because it was a DVC discounted PAP, that doesn't mean you might not stay off site at some point in the year. :confused3

I have yet to catch that opening show at MK; I WILL do it one of these days. I might even try to catch it one morning in December, even though I might not go into the park depending on crowds. I just want to see that ceremony at least once!

When I stayed at BLT I walked over one morning just so I could see it. I'm really glad I did. It was really special. Of course that was September and it wasn't busy at all.

On the insurance issue, some charge cards pay for the deductible if you charged the rental with that card. A rock flew up & broke the windshield of our rental van. Our car insurance paid it & our credit card paid the deductible.

That's exactly the experience we had when we broke the side view mirror. Credit card paid deductible and insurance paid the rest. Thanks for chiming in with your experience because it jogged my memory.

Okay I have to confess I didn't get the "funny" at first , so please don't give me an EARful:rotfl2:arEllen I will also miss you by a couple of days , we depart on th 22nd also soo sad:sad1::sad1::sad1:

:faint: What? Are you serious? I miss you by barely 24 hours? How did that happen. Boo!

I'll change a flight for $5 so $25 was a must. :rotfl: I always think what I could buy with that money, and/or how long it takes me to earn it. I have them bookmarked, thanks for the tip :)

I do too. Why the heck not? I think I ended up applying credit twice to our October flights and got them down by $25 or $30 a piece.

And, you're welcome! :thumbsup2

Lost? Say it isn't so! I'm thinking Fronteirland or Liberty Square, only because those are places I seem to get turned around.

Yup *cough cough* that's sort of what happened. :rolleyes1

I pulled mine out and it specifically says in a red stripe
PARKING 2013-2014

I did think that was odd because I thought all APs had free parking. :confused3

I'll have to pull mine out and look at them, but I'm pretty sure it is an orange stripe. My original one had a white stripe, I think. :confused3 I never took a picture.

Weird that they aren't all the same. I'm sure there's a resin, but I don't get it.

I love those Strawritas. :thumbsup2

Are they really good? Not too sweet? Now I am curious again. I might have to try one!

The CS in Morocco is one of our favorites.

I LOVE it. I get the sliders patter and its is SO good! I forget what Denny's was called, but he really liked it too. That is definitely my new "go to" spot. Really good food.

Sorry it has taken me so long to catch up.

No worries. You were on vacation. You have an excuse!

Great article Millie.

I agree! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I just tried to reassure myself by remembering what my neighbor pilot once said - He said about 1 in every 9 flights into Orlando has "weather". I know those guys are trained in how to handle it, so that helped calm my nerves.

The rain was pretty impressive. Summer rains are usually brief, but this rain lasted for hours.

Yes - you need to go to a dedicated liquor store. It's rather annoying because it involves a separate trip. Although we DO have some pretty cool liquor stores with an impressive selection. Just not as convenient as picking up a bottle of wine in the grocery store. I can't even imagine a drive through daiquiri shop. I really need to visit LA! :thumbsup2

I've totally gotta agree on the offsite thing...it is really magical to start off every day driving under that beautiful WDW sign!!! Of course, I'll take staying inside the gates any day at Bonnet Creek, but it is a way to cushion the blow so to speak of staying in Kissimmee. :goodvibes

It is definitely a way to cushion the blow. A little added perk which I came to enjoy. Bonnet Creek - I would love to stay there someday. I priced it, but it was a little more than I wanted to pay for that trip.

Suckers! :rotfl:

Yup. I think I forgot to consider the time it would take to walk to the ferry (because we didn't take the tram) and I forgot to include time for possible delays. I expected to walk right on the ferry and leave. That didn't happen.

I can't imagine getting there at lunchtime. Ugh. Especially in the summer. :confused3

Your offsite resort looks very pretty! And, it sounds like the location was an A+ too.

For where it was and what we paid for it, it certainly does receive an A+ in my book. It was just the two of us and it worked out perfectly. :thumbsup2

I have to ask...what did you order at the counter service in Morocco? It looks good!

I had the sliders platter. I'm not sure what Denny had. The sliders have one thats lamb, one beef, and one that's some vegetarian thing. The lamb slider is SO good and I never eat lamb. I was surprised that one was the tastiest. I just LOVE that platter. Really tasty!

I am sad too that we will miss each other by 1 day !!!

:sad2::guilty: I am also missing Pat by like two days. Ugh. Then there are DISers I am missing on the other end of the trip. I'm there for 11 nights. At least I am overlapping with some people. You can't see everyone I guess.

Before I get to my next update I do have some exciting news about the October trip!

Both of my wait lists for BWV's have come through. Yay Yay Yay!

The October 24th - 27th wait list came through right around the time we decided to book two more nights at WDW (this was after canceling our cruise). So I added two nights at SSR and wait listed them at the BWV. And now that second wait list has come through!

So in total we have 5 nights at the BWV's October 24th - October 29th. So excited to have a 5 night stay there. It's going to make F&W so much easier!

Yea!! :cool1: I'm glad your wait list came through!. Now we will be just around the lake from you at BCV. We have a studio for our entire trip but we waitlisted a 1BR for the whole trip and another wait list for a 1BR for half the trip. Neither have made it through yet. I have NEVER had a wait list come through so we shall see. Regardless, we will be at BCV for F&W!

I did book one special F&W seminar - a mixology seminar. Should be fun!
When is your seminar? We have the Italy Regional Luncheon on 10/21 and the Cheese Seminar on 10/26 (early enough to work it off before we meet you and Denny at Rose & Crown that night!). We tried for the French regional luncheon but it was sold out already and I called at the earliest possible time!

I'm late on the comments so hope I am not repeating too many things that others have posted!!!

Good luck this year to Nick!!!

So sorry to hear about Max. Hope that sweet kitty is feeling better.

Congrats on your waitlists coming through! Sounds like a great trip!

Pretty plane picture with the clouds, but I'm sorry that you had to be in the air so long that you were able to take it!

:scared1: on the leaking roof at the airport!

We selected a powder blue Camry. Very nice. No trick gas caps (like the Mitsubishi we had last year where we couldn't figure out how to open the gas cap) while we were in a crowded gas line.

Mark and I owned a power blue Camry!

:woohoo: on the 2BR upgrade! Looks like a decent resort from your pictures the next morning.

Back on the road we finally got our chance to pass through this

I left my real camera in the villa because it was pretty clear that it was going to rain for awhile. In fact, all of my first night pictures in this update were taken with my phone.

Those are honestly the wettest arch pictures I have ever seen!!!

Great ponchos!!!

So I decided to go park at the Beach Club (my favorite resort parking lot).

I love that you have a favorite resort parking lot!

Back up plan was QS in Morocco, which I absolutely love!

MMMorocco!

We walked through the actual BC lobby on the way back to the car. Love this place!

You know I live in a state that doesn't serve alcohol in grocery stores, so I always have to take a picture.

Me, too!

And me, too, again! Fortunately, I am about 5 minutes from the border of a state that does!

Continued From Previous Post

Darn - what a crappy view - I mean, come on - there is someone's ear in my picture!

Now an entire head and an even worse view.

At least it isn't a witch's hat!

Now that we were in, the question was where to first?

Any guesses?

Up Next - Can an experienced DISer actually get lost in the MK?

Denny hasn't seen NFL yet, has he? That would be a place a Disney expert could get lost.

.

Parking not included on an AP???

What?

:confused3

That makes no sense at all, since ALL AP holders get free parking.

Sounds like someone was trying to make you miss the opening ceremony!

Glad to see you were able to catch Illuminations on your first night there and make it to park opening at MK.
