I Told You Driving Was Bad For Your Health! *2/2* NEW TRIP REPORT LINK P102

Enjoying your TR - sorry about the stressful events, but glad your husband was on the mend so quickly.

HHI and the low country are beautiful, and relaxing - making me think we need to put the Disney resort on our list sooner rather than later!

Congrats on the add-on-itis! Hope you enjoy the Grand Floridian!

I totally get where you're coming from on vacationing with others. You've had so much stress from that it's definitely time to take a break!

Glad to see you were able to get back into vacation so quickly. It's amazing that Denny could have surgery on his heart and be back to roaming South Carolina with you almost immediately.

The beach walk sounds very in-depth and interactive. It's great that the guide was able to find so many things. Well worth the 90 minutes, I imagine.

I'm sorry to hear your cruise had to be pushed back. I suppose postponing it a year is better than cancelling it indefinitely, though. Besides, if you're a first time cruiser or even a first timer on that particular line, it's better to have done a lot of pre-planning. You'd be surprised at how much stuff you have to reserve and/or figure out beforehand. This just gives you more time to prepare. Plus, now you get to stay at the Grand Floridian for a few days.

In fact, this upcoming trip sounds very fun. Lots of resorts and lots of chances to explore the various locations. :goodvibes

An add-on? :woohoo: Congrats!!

The crab is about the ugliest thing ever! :scared: :rotfl2:

What a cute little town and restaurant. :goodvibes

Hi Mary Ellen
What nice changes! Have you ever stayed at the Grand Floridian? I thought it would be nice to stay there, until I saw the prices. Yikes!

:welcome: Nora! Thanks for joining in!

I have never stayed at the GF before, but I have used my DVC pool hopping privileges there. Plus I have eaten there a couple times. It's such a gorgeous resort. I look forward to staying there.

Hi Mary EllenSorry that Denny had to have a medical procedure and stay in hospital. Isn't that always the way? Murphy's Law - especially since you work for a cardiologist. Lucky that you work in that area and knew what was going on and were able to question the release.

Murphy's law is right. I actually work with a cardiac surgeon, but all our patients come from the cardiologists, so I know quite a few of them. I am very glad that everything worked out as well as it did. It could have turned out very differently.

Our biggest fear, when travelling to the U.S. or any other country, or while on a cruise, is a serious medical issue. While we do have travel medical insurance, and trip interruption insurance, most often the facility wants to be paid up front and it could run into thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of dollars! We have read horror stories. My DH developed a medical issue (luckily not serious) while we were in Florida in 2009 (I think) and we called our insurance company, who gave us the addresses of two doctors in the area. After seeing a doctor twice, the insurance company would not allow any other visits, and we had to cut our vacation short and come home, paying for the doctor's visits, prescriptions, and new plane fare ourselves, to be reimbursed afterwards.

That sounds like a very frustrating and un-nerving experience. Good thing you got a few visits covered, but how unfortunate to have to cut your vacation short. And how terrible to have all those extra expenses. No one ever plans for that.

We lost one week's vacation, plus one week rental on a condo, but felt it was the best thing to do. It turned out that he has an extreme sensitivity to antibiotics, which he had taken before we left home, and coincidentally the U.S. doctor had given him the same meds. He knows now to be very careful with antibiotics.

What a shame. So an allergic reaction to an antibiotic sidelined him? How often. I am glad that he recovered quickly, but sorry you had to go through that stress.

We're in our 60s and are trying to take as many trips as we can (afford) before we can no longer travel. We just tuck the worry about health issues while travelling into the back of our minds, and have fun, hoping nothing happens. Can't stay home all the time.

You are so right about that. I feel the same way. I try not to worry about the "what if's" I do feel fortunate that we weren't on the cruise when Denny needed his stent. Now that would have been problematic.

How many years until your 25th anniversary? Enjoy the planning. Loving your trip reports. Good luck on the AAA TA position. You are one busy lady!

Nora

Our 25th is October 2014. Since we already had partial plans for this year, the cruise seems like a good choice for next year.

Getting caught up on TR's today. :)

:thumbsup2

A PP's have said, even though I knew what was coming, it was still scary to read about Denny's Hospital experience. Thank goodness you followed your gut and that the cardio agreed with you. At least you were able to extend so he could enjoy the rest of the trip. Glad to hear he is doing so well now. :thumbsup2

Thanks. He really is doing very well. Stents are pretty amazing. They really do present heart attacks. When they work right they are really a modern marvel.

Too bad you cancelled your Cruise in Oct but great you will be going in 2014. That sounds like a nice trip with the GF stay.

I was really torn as to whether to cancel. In fact, I had no intentions of it until we bought that add on and our friends dropped out. After that, it just seemed to make sense to change things around a bit.

The October trip sounds nice though, even without the cruise. You have some nice resort plans.

I think this October's trip is going to be a blast. I have to admit that I want to spend a bunch of time in the parks. I considered going to Vero for 4 days, but don't want to be away that long. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more about this trip and your June one too.

I'm on it. :thumbsup2

Your plans sound magical. As does your purchase of the Grand points. Our 25th is next December (2014), we haven't made a plan yet. So, you are doing great on the planning for next year already!

DVC does really encourage early planning. I like that. I am also excited that we are doing the cruise for our anniversary next year instead of Denny's birthday this year. Does that sound selfish? :rotfl:

YGlad Denny is doing well. Is hard to believe that was just shortly after we met you at UD.

I know, right? The first warning signs started the very next day. Crazy.

YAnd of course love your update, sea creatures and pretty pictures. Very nice!

Thanks! I really did enjoy the beach walk and Bluffton. That is an area with do much to do. It's amazing.

Congrats! No, I hadn't seen that yet. I'm sure you'll find ways to use it! Very cool.

I plan on using it. I guess its sort of like an empty nester gift. What's crazy is it must really be the biggest impulse buy I have every had. I never buy anything without careful consideration. Not this. It was like, "Ok where do we sign". Well, maybe not THAT impulsive, but close.

c-31.gif

But elsewhere there was a couple sunbathing and you didn't take their picture? :confused3

I thought I took pictures of the sunbathers, but alas, I guess not. As far as the picture I posted. That view was pretty accidental. I was going for the horseshoe crab. I didn't expect the cleavage.

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS on the VGF purchase!!!!! No, you didn't mention that before :hyper: very exciting!

I am pretty excited about that purchase. I almost used the points to book THIS October, but decided next year was better with the cruise.

Secondly, I managed to skip the sentence that forewarned us and jumped right to the cruise being cancelled. I exclaimed loudly and scared Conner :rotfl: but your 2014 anniversary plans sound wonderful :) and 11 nights this year will be amazing.

Oh No! Poor Conner! You scared the crap out of him. I never dreamed of canceling until we purchased that new contract, then the whole concept of a non-park trip came to be. Plus that PAP is something. I can't wait to get back to the water parks.

Was the $325 for a 2BR? That's fantastic. glad you were able to extend the trip.

Yes. Nice price indeed because if you are with another couple its very reasonable. If you go in late October (and the weather is just as good), its even cheaper.

The beach walk looked like great fun. That baby horseshoe crab was too cute.

It was so much fun and I enjoyed seeing what TJ was going to dig up everything he bent over and put his hands in the sand.

So which cruise in Oct 2014? Pick the double dip! We will be on it with our friends Evie and Tom!

Right now I am booked on the October 19th cruise but I am going to see if I can change it. I had no idea there was a double dip. That sounds awesome, especially if you are going to be there. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the heads up. I am going to email my TA now!

Congrats on the add-on!

Thanks. Very excited about that!

Hey, your trip is overlapping my trip this year! I'll be there Oct 18-27 with a 4 night Dream cruise in the middle. :)

Very cool! That's pretty much what we were going to do, but we were on the October 27th cruise. Maybe we can meet up at some point!

That beach walk looks awesome. That's going on my list too!

Jill in CO

The beach walk was so much fun. I really enjoyed it. I believe that HHI should be on everyone's list!

I got a little bit behind, but finally caught up. I agree with the others about the way you handled Denny's hospital visit. He was lucky you were there and had the background to challenge the ER doc. And I can't blame you a bit for leaving once he was admitted. This may sound harsh, but I've never gotten the whole "sitting around the hospital at all hours" thing. Of course you want to be close by and visit, but there are health care professionals there to take care of him. What are you going to do other than stress your self out even more and be miserable. How is that going to help?

I'm glad that they got him taken care of and it ended up being relatively minor compared to what it could have been.

As for the walk... well, based on that picture, it is probably a good thing that the guy who was just released from the hospital after some cardiac concerns didn't go along. :rotfl2::lmao:

Thanks to Podsnel I am changing our October 201r cruise to the October 23rd 4 night Dream cruise with the double dip. I can't thank her enough for the heads up. The dates are great. Our anniversary is the 21st so I didn't look that far back in the schedule. But it works great. We can do 4 nights before hand and hopefully all at the grand. So perfect!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper::hyper: I am SO excited!!!! We will also be down for 4 nights pre-cruise. This will be AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::jumping1::jumping1:

That is too bad about him going into the hospital but glad you insisted on him going in to stay.
That skull restaurant I would go to for the drinks, they looked so good on the menu. One of each please.
Oh I just looked at the menu and I would have had the homemade hushpuppies.
I go tomorrow for a stress test. :O(
Not a bad wife at all.
That stinks he failed the test.
Yeah it looked like it worked out.
Too bad about the cruise but glad it is only postpones.
WOOHOO on the VGF points. I think we might buy in December just as an add on.
I love St. Augustine. So many memories with my parents as a kid there. If you go to the fountain of youth don’t drink the water, it was like mud. LOL
I agree about planning trips with others. The person we are going down with said I have full control. I do throw things by her but she is like whatever you do I will do. The only thing she asked for was Sanaa after reading my review. LOL. It was already on my list so that was easy.
I hate horseshoe crabs. I used to step on them in Barnegat Bay all the time growing up. OUCH!!!
EWW to the dead shark.
It seemed like a nice walk.
That town looked like a good choice.
Now I am caught up again.

The beach walk looked like something I would love- that little horseshoe crab was so cute! In a prehistoric, icky horeshoe crab kind of way! I have gone on the marsh walk- it was cool, we got to wear muck boots and everything! Lol....

The beach walk was really cool. I missed the marsh walk on my GF trip because we went to Savannah. Then I missed it a second time. Of course this trip I totally missed. I WILL do that marsh walk. Someday!

My SIL did the Disney tour to Bluffton- she loved it there- i really need to get my *** back down there, Dottie was right!

Bluffton is really, really cool. I definitely recommend it the next time you are there. That Thursday afternoon farmer's market was so cool.

So...we are on the Oct 23rd 4'night Dream- planning to do 4 nites before at BWV. When are you going?

Well, you knew when we are going now and I can't wait. :cool1::thumbsup2:banana::worship::yay::dance3::rolleyes1 I knew there was a reason I changed the cruise. I can't believe I totally missed the double dip. I am SO looking forward to that. What a total bonus. It's going to be so much fun!

Good changes! Although I wish you were on the S. Caribbean with us!

So you are doing a S. Caribbean cruise in October 2014? I did not know that. I'm sure the 7 night cruise will be my next adventure after I finally get this 4 night under my belt.

Poor Denny, I feel bad he didn't get a beer with dinner either. The town looked adorable and cute stop for dinner.

I know. He was bummer. He does drink beer now, but at the time we didn't think it was the best idea.

Bluffton was adorable. I'm so glad we went there.

LOVE the beach walk pics. Just gorgeous. Amazing to think WDW is actually closer to HHI than Vero!

Thanks. So glad you liked the pics. The beach walk was really fun. I could definitely see staying at HHI on the way to WDW.

Love your GRAND purchase.

I am very excited over our splurge, even though I have to wait to use it. That's OK. I'll make it!

:thumbsup2: What she said. :)

Jill in CO

Wait? Are you guys on the same cruise? Did I miss something big like that?

I would love t visit HHI !!!Well I am glad Glenn got it and not Marv !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

HHI is really amazing!

I had a feeling a marv comment was coming. :rotfl2:

Great update of Denny's coming home day !1That town looked really interesting !!!

Thanks. Bluffton was adorable. I'm so glad we decided to head over there for dinner. That farmer's market was really cute.

I don't recall you telling us about that GRAND purchase, but I had a feeling...
That's great - how wonderful would it be to celebrate an anniversary there.

IGlad that Denny was feeling so well afterwards that he wanted a beer, but too bad he had to wait. I'm REALLY glad he's doe so well since the stent. :)

It's really not a bad procedure. You figure you've GOT to feel better afterwards because now you have the right amount of blood supply to the heart. I think he felt pretty much back to normal and he always orders a beer when we go out to dinner.

I think that beach walk would be cool. You got some cool pictures (as usual!)

It was really fun and thanks. You know I had to start making up for all my previous lack of pictures.

What a nice little beach walk. Interesting views ..... :rotfl2:

I know, interesting, right? I didn't mean to take that cleavage shot. I really was focusing on the horseshoe crab. I do remember thinking she was dressed a little inappropriately for the beach walk. Like - just put on a t shirt or something. :confused3

Sorry Denny couldn't have a beer with dinner. I am sure he was a bit bummed and hopefully was taking it easy.

He didn't drink for the rest of the trip, but he has since. He really enjoys having a beer every now and then and that was hard for him.

I thought you came home with an add on. :lmao: Addonitis strikes again.

And it really wasn't supposed to. I really didn't go in there thinking we need more points. Rather, I just wanted to see the model and it was so stunning we just went for it.

I am looking at my points being all booked up into 2014 and keep thinking I need more but I need a new kitchen more right now. :lmao:

I hear ya. You use your kitchen everyday. You certainly don't use DVC everyday. I am totally borrowed into my 2014 points because of HHI and our October trip. But I don't care. That's what they are there for. :thumbsup2

Sounds like even though you are giving up the cruise, you won't be missing out on a great vacation! I love your dates...and the places you are going to stay. What fun!

Congrats on the GFV add!!!

Oh my! The horseshoe crab was crazy looking!!!

And the worm pooo :crazy2:

Bluffington is definitely a place I would want to trek to. I love little antique shops...

First, I'm glad Denny has had no other issues since he got home. As I said, he looked great when we saw him last month.

Congrats on the changes...they seem to work better for you. And congrats on the add on of DVC points.

Thanks for the tour along the beach, etc. Poor baby shark.

So, have you seen DJ lately? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

After touring the new Grand villas I'm sure I would be in danger of an impulse buy as well! How satisfying to know it will be a nice little anniversary get away for years to come! :)

OMG! It was SO gorgeous. It exceeded my expectations and, obviously, Denny was impressed as well when he said "go for it" on the add on. :thumbsup2

Glad to know Denny is doing so well 3 1/2 months post stent placement! ::yes:: Once again I have to say how awesome that you were able to advocate for the stress test and prevent a worse outcome.

I am glad he is doing so well. Really no issues. He sees the cardiologist Friday. Thanks for the compliment. I'm really not that awesome. I live by the "do the right thing" adage. It serves me well.

I was fascinated with the beach walk excursion with the crabs and the poor dead baby shark.

The beach walk was so cool. The baby shark - not so much. I would love to know what happened to him/her. I almost wonder if he/she got caught out there with the receding tide.

It sounds like 2014 is a much better option for your cruise. But your October plans sound like such an awesome trip as well! :woohoo:

I am now super excited about the 2014 cruise once I found out about Ellen's plans. Plus a double dip. That's perfect. So excited. :cool1:

So happy to hear that Denny continues to do well!

Thanks! Me too! :goodvibes

When I read about changes to the October trip I was hoping you had to put it off a week ;) hehe oh well. But I think you made the right call on the cruise.

Even there weren't so many plans made that hinged on other people I would have definitely considering moving it back. It would have been so fun to meet you.

That beach walk looks really interesting, I've never seen a horseshoe crab that wasn't in a tank! Lol
The market looks really interesting too.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Horseshoe crabs are fairly common here in the Mid-Atlantic, but usually I just see dead ones. It was cool to see TJ find one and pluck it out of the sand.

The market was VERY cool!

Reading your update answered my question, yay for a little add on at the GF!!!! I'm so happy for you that you'll get to enjoy it as a couple's retreat. I'm not a hard sell on this one given that I bought in sight unseen, so I can only imagine how I would have felt if I'd had a tour.

It was STUNNING! I'll probably never get to stay in a one or two BR, but even the studio was just lovely. I know we are both going to LOVE staying there. I am so excited even though its over a year away.

I'm glad that everything progressed nicely on your vacation after your DH was released from the hospital. The beach walk looks like a lot of fun and so do all those little antique shops.

I have to look at it this way - it was far more dangerous for him to be walking around pre stent. Sort of like a walking time bomb. So getting back into the vacation was just the natural thing to do. :thumbsup2

Cool little town! It's always fun to see new places. I would have enjoyed browsing through all of the good 'junk'. ::yes::

Bluffton was so cool. I am so glad we went there. There was a lot of good "junk" to sort through. I enjoy that too!

I have seen many big horseshoe crabs, but I have never seen a teeny tiny baby one. Neat picture! :thumbsup2

It was so cool to watch TJ find the baby horseshoe crabs and then teach us how to find one. I got so excited when I found my first.

Congrats on the GF points. You are right - that purchase will make for a nice anniversary treat now and then.

Total treat! We are both very excited about future trips there. The villas were gorgeous.

Along with everyone else, I am glad to hear that Denny is doing well. :)

Thanks. The best part is he is starting to relax and take it all in stride. This really shook him up. More than I realized it would.

I am bummed I won't be reading a cruise TR from you in the next few months, but I can see why you changed it. I think once you go on it you are going to wonder why you waited so long. ;)

I know you're right Jen! That's why I hesitated on canceling. But once our friends canceled and we added that contract I just decided to push it back. Maybe for good reason since now I'll get to meet up with Ellen! :woohoo:

That little town looks so fun.
And the beach walk looks amazing too.

Bluffton was an adorable little town. I'm so glad we went there. The beach walk was very educational.

Enjoying your TR - sorry about the stressful events, but glad your husband was on the mend so quickly.

:welcome: Julie! Thanks for joining in! And thank you. It was pretty stressful at the time, but I feel very fortunate that everything fell into place.

HHI and the low country are beautiful, and relaxing - making me think we need to put the Disney resort on our list sooner rather than later!

I absolutely love HHI and the low country. I had NO idea what a cool area it was until I visited about 18 months before this couples trip. I immediately fell in love. It's hard to NOT put a park trip on your list, but this really is a great spot to vacation.

Congrats on the add-on-itis! Hope you enjoy the Grand Floridian!

Thanks! I am pretty excited about our spontaneous splurge especially since it is so NOT like us. I hope we get to enjoy many visits!

I totally get where you're coming from on vacationing with others. You've had so much stress from that it's definitely time to take a break!

The brother trip was tough and then having our friends be "wishy-washy" on the cruise was enough. I could give you more examples, but don't worry, I won't. From now on its couple planning or girls trips with DIS friends. So much easier.

Glad to see you were able to get back into vacation so quickly. It's amazing that Denny could have surgery on his heart and be back to roaming South Carolina with you almost immediately.

Fortunate the actual stenting procedure is pretty non-invasive. Patients are back on their feet in no time. The worst part is the arterial puncture in the groin.

The beach walk sounds very in-depth and interactive. It's great that the guide was able to find so many things. Well worth the 90 minutes, I imagine.

It really was a great tour. And it had just the right amount of depth to it. Very worth the 90 minutes. So glad I signed up for it.

I realized I was getting behind in the preplanning. Not sure why. I think I was waiting for my friends to book their cruise and when they didn't happen..... Then the whole job search thing really threw me and I didn't do any preplanning. Anyho - I think 2014 will be a great time to cruise and I am really looking forward to it.

In fact, this upcoming trip sounds very fun. Lots of resorts and lots of chances to explore the various locations. :goodvibes

I am excited for the October trip. I will really need it by then since I can't take any vacation for awhile in my new job. I'm looking forward to using all the options on the PAP. It's going to be a lot of fun.

An add-on? :woohoo: Congrats!!

Thanks! I am so excited about it. At first I was still in disbelief. Now its finally sinking in! :thumbsup2

The crab is about the ugliest thing ever! :scared: :rotfl2:

Yup - they are pretty ugly creatures, although the babies are kind of cute.

What a cute little town and restaurant. :goodvibes

Bluffton was adorable. I am so glad that we stopped there for some exploring and for dinner.

Now you're making me excited! I can't wait to stay there, and my first trip home is over a year away. :lmao:

I got caught up on your updates, but I had to scroll through all the comments.

Hugs to you and Denny for what you went through in HHI! Thank God you were there to advocate for him and that he is doing well.

Your cell phone pictures from before dinner are spectacular. I find I take pictures when I am anxious or bored. It calms and distracts me.

I was surprised to read about the cancelation of your cruise, but it all sounds good. I have friends who are trying to convince me to do a solo trip to the World at the end of October... Happy Birthday to me! (and Denny)

I am so jealous of your beach walk. That is exactly the kind of thing I would love. Horseshoe crabs are cool!!! We do a lot of local marsh and marine programs with the boys- we went on a horseshow crab safari once, but I have never seen a baby one, though.

I just knew I had to get out of there for a few hours every afternoon. It was an unexpected situation, but sitting in the hospital all day was definitely not going to help. Seeing a little bit of the Hilton Head sunshine every day was a huge lift. :thumbsup2

I'm glad that they got him taken care of and it ended up being relatively minor compared to what it could have been.

It could have been a lot worse, that's for sure. I am very thankful it turned out the way it did.

As for the walk... well, based on that picture, it is probably a good thing that the guy who was just released from the hospital after some cardiac concerns didn't go along. :rotfl2::lmao:

:rotfl2: I really didn't mean to take that cleavage shot. It was totally an accident, but I did notice her appearance when the tour first started and I was a little surprise she didn't just put a t shirt on. Whatevs! :confused3

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper::hyper: I am SO excited!!!! We will also be down for 4 nights pre-cruise. This will be AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::jumping1::jumping1:

I know I said this before, but I'll say it again. I am SOOOOOOOOOO thrilled that you told me about the double dip. I also love that its a Thursday till Monday cruise. That is so perfect. The one I was doing was Monday until Thursday. I didn't like that at all but did realize there was a MUCH better option. Totally excited for this! But now I am going to be tempted to buy a park ticket for the for first 4 nights. :rotfl:

That is too bad about him going into the hospital but glad you insisted on him going in to stay.

There was no way I was taking him out of there because if I did, we would have just ended up in another hospital farther away, As much as I didn't want it to be, I knew it was the real deal.

That skull restaurant I would go to for the drinks, they looked so good on the menu. One of each please.
Oh I just looked at the menu and I would have had the homemade hushpuppies.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really great and at that point I didn't care what I was drinking, as long as it had alcohol. :rotfl2:

I go tomorrow for a stress test. :O(
Not a bad wife at all.
That stinks he failed the test.

I am SO glad you passed your stress test. :woohoo: That must be such a relief. I know I had one and I was glad to pass because, honestly, you never know.

Yeah it looked like it worked out.

It really did work out as well as it could have. I was very relieved.

Too bad about the cruise but glad it is only postpones.

Yup - just a postpone. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I hope I don't regret not going when October rolls around.

WOOHOO on the VGF points. I think we might buy in December just as an add on.

When Denny agrees to buy something that quickly you KNOW it has to be really nice. I was so shocked he wanted to go for it. The models were really gorgeous. :thumbsup2

I love St. Augustine. So many memories with my parents as a kid there. If you go to the fountain of youth don’t drink the water, it was like mud. LOL

:rotfl2: I have wanted to visit there for years, so I think it will make a nice side trip. We were supposed to visit this summer, but since we ended up not driving we never made it there. Now I have no excuse.

I agree about planning trips with others. The person we are going down with said I have full control. I do throw things by her but she is like whatever you do I will do. The only thing she asked for was Sanaa after reading my review. LOL. It was already on my list so that was easy.

Having full control (or at least most control) is what all we DISers need. :rotfl: My issue is that I try to plan a trip, invite someone to stay with me, and I can never get a confirmation. It's the "wishy-washy ness" that drive me CRAZY!

I hate horseshoe crabs. I used to step on them in Barnegat Bay all the time growing up. OUCH!!!
EWW to the dead shark.
It seemed like a nice walk.

Ouch! It really was a fun walk. All except for the dead shark. That was pretty nasty.

That town looked like a good choice.
Now I am caught up again.

Bluffton was lovely. I am so glad we stopped there.

Sounds like even though you are giving up the cruise, you won't be missing out on a great vacation! I love your dates...and the places you are going to stay. What fun!

I am a little bummed about canceling the cruise, or at least I was until podsnel mentioned the double dip in October 2014. Now I am booked for that and I think it will be perfect. :thumbsup2

Congrats on the GFV add!!!

Thanks. Very excited that we made that little impulse buy. I can't wait to stay there. I wish it was this October. :thumbsup2

Oh my! The horseshoe crab was crazy looking!!!

And the worm pooo :crazy2:

Fun stuff, that aquatic life is, isn't it? :rotfl:

Bluffington is definitely a place I would want to trek to. I love little antique shops...

It was an adorable little town with tons of eye candy. I really enjoyed out visit there.

First, I'm glad Denny has had no other issues since he got home. As I said, he looked great when we saw him last month.

He is really doing well and he is finally back to his full exercise workouts. That' s a big thing for him. He was very afraid to start exercising again so I am glad he is finally over the hump. He takes his medication religiously because he does NOT want that stent to occlude. It's nice to see him relaxed again.

Congrats on the changes...they seem to work better for you. And congrats on the add on of DVC points.

Thanks. Like I said, I am a little bummed about pushing the cruise back, but I think it is all going to work out for the better.

Thanks for the tour along the beach, etc. Poor baby shark.

I know. I think he must have got stuck on something was the tide went out and that was the end of him.

So, have you seen DJ lately? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: OMG. I thought that C was going to need ear plugs. He kept walking around chanting, "TJ TJ TJ". It was too funny. :lmao:

Now you're making me excited! I can't wait to stay there, and my first trip home is over a year away. :lmao:

Me too sister. We are both in the same boat waiting together. Waiting is hard, but I am totally excited that I will have the opportunity to stay there. :cool1:

I got caught up on your updates, but I had to scroll through all the comments.

Perfectly understandable. I do that ALL the time. Welcome back. I am now officially subbed to your TR!!!!

Hugs to you and Denny for what you went through in HHI! Thank God you were there to advocate for him and that he is doing well.

He's doing great! I am very glad I was able to get the ED doc to call the cardiologist and get the OK for the stay. It worked out the best it possibly could.

Your cell phone pictures from before dinner are spectacular. I find I take pictures when I am anxious or bored. It calms and distracts me.

I am happy with how well the cell pics turned out. And I do the exact same thing. Taking pictures always calms me down too. It really relaxes me.

I was surprised to read about the cancelation of your cruise, but it all sounds good. I have friends who are trying to convince me to do a solo trip to the World at the end of October... Happy Birthday to me! (and Denny)

OMG - you should!!!!!! When is your birthday? Denny's is Halloween.

I am a little ambivalent about canceling the cruise, but when I looked at all the reasons it seemed like the right thing to do. I am excited that I am rescheduled for the double dip in October 2104. That is going to be so fun!

I am so jealous of your beach walk. That is exactly the kind of thing I would love. Horseshoe crabs are cool!!! We do a lot of local marsh and marine programs with the boys- we went on a horseshow crab safari once, but I have never seen a baby one, though.

A horseshoe crab safari? Really? Now that's something different. I really enjoyed the beach walk. There are so many things that are part of that ecosystem that you just take for granted. It was cool to examine everything up close.

Cool updates!

Glad you got a 'perky' shot in there for the men following your TR :thumbsup2:lmao:

Dang, so those horseshoe crabs are just laying underneath the sand that you could very well walk on?! Crazy.

Aw poor baby shark.

What a cool little town! Agh, poor Denny, not being able to have a beer. But smart on your part :thumbsup2

Woot woot to your Double Dip! :cool1:
