I thought beach club/boardwalk 1 bdrm villa slept 5?

First time stepping away from my home resort and I screwed up!

I am so stuck, I am supposed to have 5 traveling, had heard with the new refurb there would be a pulldown under the tv as it is in almost all the other resorts fitting 5 in a 1 bedroom and studio, but just checked....NO??!!! Only a studio has it with less points. Just saying, that is a little wierd!!

Can I put in a waitlist for both a two bedroom or a studio hoping one comes through at the same time or only one and cross my fingers..then I can fit my 5th?

You can still sleep 5 in a BWV or BCV 1BR, but you need to BYOB (bedding, probably an air bed, and towels) for the 5th person.

BCV and BWV are just like SSR, BRV, CCV, the units are too small for 5 in a 1 BR. You need to go to OKW, BLT, VGF or AK (not value) to have beds for 5. I hope your wait list comes in.

Because all of the 1BRs are lock offs (pretty sure; someone correct me if there are any dedicated 1BRs) there is no real place to put another bed in the main space without blocking the door.

A studio is less points, but it's also no kitchen, and sharing the space among 5 people instead of spacing them into two spaces.

There are dedicated 1 bedrooms at BWV. Not sure about BCV. But even without the connecting door, there is really not enough room to open a drop-down Murphy bed under the TV nor a chair if the pullout sofa is open.

All 1br will let you sleep 5, some will however need you to to bring your own bedding.

Until someone confirms it the only exception might be the 1br at CCV which also only sleeps 4.

No worries then, as long as I can put the 5th on my ressie, get him the band/fast passes and magical express. He has no issues on a blow up mattress or pool float...he is going for the parks/experience! Thanks for the info!!!

As Jean mentioned both BCV and BWV still have the same configuration with 4 sleeping surfaces. BCV did not have a change in the configuration of the 1BR in the refurb and neither did BWV. There is the king bed in the master bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living area. A 5th person can be added to either of these rooms but both the bed and bedding needs to be provided for that 5th person.

Yep - those had the murphy bed added. And the same thing was done at BWV so both those resorts have the sleeping spots for 5 in the studios.

So the BCV studios sleep 5, but the 1 BRs only sleep four? I really wish they'd have bigger coffee makers in the studios then. Last time, the studio coffee maker only made 2 cups of coffee + a little more. And when we called to request a full-size coffee maker, they told us they were out of them. Why a smaller coffee maker for a villa that sleeps more people?

He is 17 yrs old and doesn't mind the floor, with a combination of amazon and owners locker I will prepare this Nov. trip w/ an earlier trip getting a blowup mattress. As a family of five, dealing with travel hockey hotels and rooms only really fitting 4 people at most hotels we are good at "making do" as my nana would say! All is good!!

The occupancy of the most studios and 1BR's are the same. Most studios have the full size coffee makers as they should but BCV in particular seems to be one that moved in a bunch of small 4 cup makers. The assumption for a 1BR would likely also not be all adults but they get the full size coffee makers just like the studios are supposed to afaik.

Planning a vacation now and on the dvcmember.com website it states BCV 1BR sleeps 5. Can't find anything online though confirming. I took a screen shot of where it says it but cant figure out how to paste it here.
