I thought acne was worst during puberty but

I am in my 30's and it's worse now than EVER. Never been to a dermatologist, it's not THAT bad. It's just irritating and I can't stand it.

Seriously though , stress can actually cause it too, later in life. I never had acne until my mid 20's when I started working in an office...hmmmm

You may be on to something....work causes acne! Yet another reason to long for weekends...

Mine has been worse as I've gotten older. I think I'm going to finally break down and see a dermatologist probably should have done it sooner.

My mother had a horrible case of acne when she was in her 30's through early 40's. It is not unusual for a woman to develop acne as an adult. See a dermatologist.

I never broke out until I was 25.... I went on several rounds of antibiotic treatments, hormones, and Retin A. The only thing that worked was a 6 month treatment of Acutane. It's a pretty extreme medication, but the results were worth it after 11 years of little improvement.

It is probably Roscea (sp?). Basically adult acne. It ususally develops in the mid 30s. Myself and several of my friends have it. Go to a dermatologist. I waited for about a year. I have been on medcine for a month and it is much better. The doctor said it could take 2- 3 months to clear up. I have a lotion, Metrolotion and a pill, Doxicycline (sp?). Metrolotion or Metrogel seem to be what is working for my friends and I. My doctor told me to stay away from red wine, don't drink extremely hot coffee or tea and to spritz the breakout with water before exercise. Good Luck, don't suffer, see a doctor.
