Haven't even had our 'first trip home' and dh mentioned adding some points 'soon' so of course I was all over it!

Questions - when adding points (looking at WLV so we have more then 1 'home' resort and that's the one we like the most so far) how do you go about it? ARe we better off to buy a re-sale or contact our guide to do that?

Right now we have 150 SSR points with a June use year - how important/necessary is it to keep the June use year? And is there a minimum amount of points you have to buy when you are adding on a different resort through Disney?

Thanks - just in the 'thinking about it' process right now but score one for me for even getting dh to think about it!

We've caught it too! We purchased 175 points at the SSR in February, and are going to get at least the minimum for the newest promo here shortly. I'm waiting for the details on that to see my choices.

We debated resale, but I'm not patient enough to wait until closing to get to make my ressie, and keep my fingers crossed through the ROFR process too .

So this time I think we're going with DVC on the add-on. And I'm adding-on at SSR because I like the idea of having the bulk of my points in one place for ressies that require more points at that 11 month window- the "hot times". I would LOVE to own BWV's - just because I like the resort also, but seriously, it doesn't make financial sense to us right now because of the promos to buy SSR and the extra 12 years we get at SSR.

Sooner or latter you have to look and say how many points do I really need.

My wife keeps saying we can't never have enough points.
