...on me! My DH, who REALLY does not want to go back to WDW again (well, CERTAINLY not in the near future!) suggested that, since we just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, we could go [JUST THE TWO OF US!!:lovestruc ]to WDW for a long weekend (like a Thursday to a Sunday)...problem is, the earliest we can really go there would be for the 'dreaded' Jersey-Week, since I, as a teacher, have a 4-day weekend for the NJ Teachers' Convention. I have been dedicated to scouring the web for ANYTHING remotely decent in airfare, but to no avail. To make matters WORSE, I have been calling WDW to try to get ressies for a room (my DH doesn't care for the values OR Mods - 'been there-done that') and, not only are there no rooms to be had at my first, second or even third choice of resort, but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS!! I refuse to pay $1,695.00 for 3 nights at a Disney resort.....sorry, as much as I love WDW, that's just NUTS!!

Please send lots of PD and any suggestions to help us celebrate our 25th....:guilty: :sad1:

I know the NJ Schools are closed on 11/6 & 11/7. Would you be able to possibly leave on Wednesday the 5th? Say in the afternoon instead of Friday? Or take that Wednesday off and go?:rolleyes1

Did you try the Dolphin or Swan? I think they have special rates for teachers.

...we stayed there this past Christmas and, although I love the Dolphin, my DH wasn't crazy about it....besides, I really want the 'full WDW immersion experience', along with the free ME....;)
[...although those great Bath and Body Works toiletries at the Dolphin are hard to pass up...:teeth: ]

...my DH owns his own business and can't really 'close up shop', so to speak. I'd rather not get into all the how's and why's, but it's hard enough for him to take even just one or two days off, and he doesn't know that I planned on the THURSDAY-till-Sunday rather than the Friday-till-Sunday weekend....:rolleyes1
[...as for taking off from school - well, that's strictly a NO-NO! Several other teachers in our district used to do that all the time and ruined it for the rest of us!:guilty: ]

Kimmar Thats awful!! Have you tried booking thru AAA they usually have discounts on the rooms...not sure about the airfare or one of the TAs that specialize in Disney trips...

Happy 25th anniversary...

Hope it all comes together for your trip:wizard: :)

You missed the Fall package... And there would have been a room at a mod under that special since I canceled our NJ week and moved it to Dec.

Have you looked at going from Philadelphia or AC? Every deal from EWR has been gone since at least August.

In any case, NJ week is not that bad... except half NJ is there...

My .02...
