I Think My Bones Are About To Break

5:00 a.m temperature -5 with a wind chill reading of -22. Public transporation very slow due to the cold. Lots of time spent waiting on the train platform. Long underware under flannel PJ's under regular clothes. 2 pairs of socks and I get to the office to find the air conditioning blowing Will I ever get warm? Tomorrow's forcast, colder and snow. Don't you just love winter? If I didn't have someone coming in for an iterview at 11:00 tomorrow I'd take a personal day and stay in bed.

Going away this wknd to a hotel w/heated indoor pool - hoping its warm enough to take the chill out of my body

I think you are getting what we had last week. Warmer weather is on the way, we have 29 today (that is warmer ). I can't wait to feel that florida sun on my now pastey white skin, (I miss my summer tan ).

Heard about the deep freeze up in New England. Unfortunately, it sounds like Thursday night is going to be even colder.


There was a piece on Good Morning America where a reporter went to a place in New Hamshire, on a mountain, in a weather tower that is reputed to have the worse weather in the world. The wind chill this moring was -93!!!! It was also the place where the strongest wind speed was recorded at 210 mph (it must have been in the middle of a hurricane).
