I love the fact that we have a dedicated confirmed snack sticky on this board!!! My family's trip is not until early December and we are staying at POP and getting the free QSDP.

I decided that it would be a great idea to format the list of snacks on Word, take out resorts and waterparks that we won't be visiting, and print a copy out. I then had DS11 and DS9 highlight, with their own unique color, things they would like to eat. I helped them with some of the pastries and we had a good time thinking of all the good snacks in store.

My DH thinks I'm loony :hyper:. But I have to do something to pass the time waiting for our trip to get here.

I will now compile a smaller list that I can carry while at the parks. LOL :thumbsup2

Planning is half the fun, so if yo uare having fun why not? Imagine how much sweeter those snacks are going to be when yo ufinally get to try them!

We like to play "if we were there right now what would we order." Not as much this trip cause we are doing QSDP, but still a little. We'd pull up a restaurant and say what we'd order if we were there right now. When we started playing years ago it was to weigh the value of the DDP, but now it is just cause it's fun.

Ummm - so glad I am not the only person to do this! I highlighted everything I was interested in trying and made DH review and use a distinct mark for anything he wanted to eat!

He looked at me a little funny, but was a good sport :lmao:

I did the same thing. I formatted the snack list to fit on one page per park and one for the hotel. (2 sided! There are so many!) I plan to take the appropriate sheet with me each day and then we have it to pick from when we are ready for a snack! It is just DH and I, so I didn't do the highlighter thing. But maybe I should make DH do that! :lmao:

If you have gone overboard, I'm right behind you because you just gave me an idea! Heading over to the snacks list thread right now! :tiptoe: ;)

I made a similar 1-page snack "cheat sheet" for our trip last year that I could carry around and reference as we needed to. (Mostly in the form of "I'm in the mood for xxx, can I get that near here?" or "what do they have at yyy that looks good?")

That and a 1-page recap of our ADRs (place, date, time, and reservation #) was just tucked in an easy-to-get-to place and was a nice security blanket, though seldom actually used.

For the truly obsessive and visually-oriented, I'd suggest having a 1-page rough map of each park, with "snack highlights" labeled as points of interest along with major park landmarks/rides. That way you could see at a glance what's available nearby.

A MAP with highlighted snacks!!!!

Absolutely Brilliant!!:banana::banana:

I have my cheat sheets as well. I cut and pasted all snacks that my daughters and I would be interested in and where they are located in each park. I have a page per park that also lists the counter service meals we would be interested in and where they are located. Hey gotta keep busy while waiting right? lol

:goodvibes

Just wanted to let everyone know to please recheck the snack list in a couple of weeks after I get back. I have quite a few places to visit & update. Also if anyone remembers, please take a picture of the snack menu & post it in the confirmed snack thread when you return. TIA.
