Okay, last night I'm driving home from a restaurant, with DD, 19 months, in her car seat in the back. As we reach the intersection in front of our local Walmart, the following "conversation" takes place between DD & I:

DD: Mommy - Almart!

Me: Yes, there's Walmart.

DD: Mommy - Money!

Me: You need money to go to Walmart?

DD: Yeah...

On top of that, when we arrive home and I tell DH about this, he informs me that just yesterday morning she was able to idenity a store receipt that came from Walmart. She picked up the receipt, looked at it, them looked at him and said "Daddy - Almart!"

I guess I should cut back on my Walmart shopping....

Hi, my name is Jill and I'm a Wal-Mart addict.:wave2:

Your daughter is a smart child!

I would buy books that stimulate her learning ability.

Cute!

:D

just make sure you go to enough different stores to cover all the letters of the alphabet ... ;)

This reminds me of a funny story about my niece when she was about the same age as your daughter. We live in a smallish town that has quite a few fast food places located along the main drag in town. When you'd drive past this area, you'd hear her yell from the back seat:

AHHBEE's!!!

HAHDEE's!!!

McDONAL's!!!

BUGAR KEEN!!!

We used to laugh ourselves silly when she did this and say that obviously she was visiting too many fast food joints at such a young age. She is almost 18 now (how the years fly), and she never has lost her love of fast food!

When my DD was that age she would tell me if she wanted to go left to go to 'Puppy/Kitty store' aka Petco or right to the 'bookstore' aka Borders. :teeth:

Now she says "Mama, I want to go to TJ Maxx!"

Mine learned to recognize McD's first but then he loves clowns. Those commercials really appealed to him. I know, too much TV! :(

DD "told" on me when DH took her through a drive-thru and when he rolled down the window she said "coke, please"! And she doesn't get to drink coke!

But Mommy does, she's a Coke-aholic!
