I think I'm addicted!

I don't know what prompted me to decide I needed to learn how to knit. But I thought it might be cool if I did.

So I went to the library and picked up The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting, then drove to Hobby Lobby for supplies.

I think I'm addicted now. The book is right..I get started on a row and I just sort of..zone out and get all meditative and zen.

I got addicted to crocheting! It completely zones me out and, as an added benefit, keeps my hands out of the refrigerator.

I just bought yarn for another afghan.

That's what I've noticed too..I'm not eating because I'm bored because my hands are busy.

I learned how to knit last year and really like how I can make little items - belts, scarves, washclothes - as quick personalized gifts!

And ditto on less snacking!

Any good patterns to recommend?
