We are six people (two adults and four teens) arriving in Orlando by plane. Spending five nights at WDW then two nights at Universal. Need to stop at the grocery on the way from the airport to WDW.

I would love to rent a car but I would need a van or SUV to hold us all, and did I mention that we will be there the week of Christmas? So far my admittedly brief investigation has revealed that it would cost as much to rent a van at MCO as our tickets will cost . . .

So, I think I need a car service. Never used one before, and I would appreciate any and all advice about which one. Don't need anything fancy or flashy - just reliable.

Thanks!

Another option which may be cheaper would be to use Disney's Magical Express bus service to the hotel, along with baggage transfer service, which is wonderful and then use one of the grocery delivery services to deliver your food order to you at the hotel.
The 2 most often mentioned here on the DIS are wegoshop.com and Garden Grocer.
I have used wegoshop.com 6 times and been very pleased and I recommend them highly. You create your list of what you want on their website. You can choose which store they will shop at. You can schedule a delivery with a 30 minute window and they have always been right on time. They will deliver either to Bell Services, if you are not there yet or directly to you. If they leave it at Bell Services perishiables will be refrigerated for you. Of course you would have to tip when it was delivered by Bell Services.
With wegoshop.com the cost is the actual cost of the items plus a delivery fee and I always tip the shopper.
Wegoshop's deliver fee is higher but Garden Grocer marks up each item you buy and wegoshop does not. Wegoshop's delivery window is 30 minutes and Garden Grocers is 2 hours. I always plan a delivery for late afternoon when I know I will be in my Villa.
Either service is reputable.
Just another option.

If you are being budget conscious I agree with DME for your trip to WDW and then you could a minivan taxi to take you to your Universal hotel and then a limo or van back to the airport. We have used Happy Limo in the past and had a fine experience. The cars were clean and on time. Drivers were great. They can do all legs of your trip or just a couple or just one. I believe they stop at the store for you, but we also used a grocery delivery service as mentioned by the PP. We used Garden Grocer and it was fine. It was there when we got to the resort and Bell Services held it in the fridge for us. We called down and they brought it up to us. No issues at all. www.happylimo.com will give you prices for the service. You can see the different rates for limo, SUV or min-van. Good luck.
