I think I have gone crazy....

I actually found myself oiling the wheels on my daughters stroller. (Yes, I know she is 4 years old, but she hates walking for long periods and I am NOT carrying her!).

My step-mom came over while I was doing this (she is going on the trip with us), and she thought I was insane. I told her she would thank me when we didn't have to listen to any squeaking for a week!

Anyway, just my normal nuttiness!

I don't think you're crazy at all! That's a VERY good idea, and one that I would NOT have thought of myself! Thank you! :) I also have a 4 year old and I bought a NEW stroller to push her around in. Everyone thinks I'M the crazy one for doing that b/c she probably won't get much use out of it after this trip, but I wanted a light-weight umbrella with a canopy and basket and thought it would be more cost-effective to buy a $20 instead of renting everyday. :)

Anyhow, you're not crazy! (at least I don't think so):crazy:

We are bringing a double stroller for my 5 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson. Last year we used a stroller for my granddaughter when she was 4. It is absolutely worth it to bring a stroller. I have seen even older kids being pushed around in a rented DW stroller.

::yes:: Strollers can save a vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd much rather see a family pushing a happy child in a stroller than those folks who are dragging the exhausted child and hearing the screaming (sometimes from the child -- often from the parents ;) )

Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!! ::MickeyMo

A very good idea have a magical trip and sure you will have many magical memories of your trip for years to come.::yes:: :wave2:

I wouldn't dream of NOT taking our double stroller for DS4 & DS6. They willingly get in it between rides, and if one wants to walk, we put stuff in the others seat. Even at 6 yrs, he gets tired! AND..they are very active/mischievious, so containment is very important. They don't even think twice about riding in it.....It does get to be a hassle at times, with people walking RIGHT in front of a moving stroller, but most of the times it is fine....AND who wants to listen to "squuueeeeaaakkkk,Squueeeeeaaaakkk, all day? I don't think you are crazy at all, obviously your step-mom has never experienced or forgotten that sound....:hyper:

I'm a little confused (better than the "lot confused" that I usually am...)--did your stepmom think that you were insane for oiling the wheels of the stroller or for bringing the stroller in the first place?

I have a 4yo, also, and he used his stroller a lot at WDW in February and at Universal recently.

I shall be taking our ancient push chair to WDW for our 6 year old DD next Jan.
She will undoubtably moan about not being a baby any more, I shall say I'm taking it to put all the drinks in etc, she'll spend vast parts of the day in it and we'll all be happy ;)
Enjoy ;-)

She thought I was crazy for planning so much that I had planned to oil the wheels before we went.

Actually I don't think she would want to go to Disney without the stroller. None of us would like to carry our princess for a week straight!

I think the stoller will be one of the best investments we made for this trip.
