I think I did something dumb!!!!

We're having problems with our computer with things being added and maybe a virus.

tonight I get an email from systems@agosnet (anyone ever hear of it?)

it said our account has been activiated (I never heard of this place let alone set something up with them.

virtus.org and then I have a name and email address.

this is all starnge to me anyone have any ideas I just deleted the message.

I don't know about the first address you listed, but i do know that virtus.org is a group used by the Catholic Church to educate parents, volunteers, teachers, etc about preventing child molestation.

I got one in my "Junk" email account, as did DH. It was a come on for a mortgage. If you open it, it says you sent for mortgage info, all you need to do is give them more info, and a link. Well, since I did NOT ask for mortgage info from anyone, I deleted it. And deleted DHs. He got it in his excite and in his comcast mail. I just got it in excite. It's funny to read them, because I don't use my name in my email, I use screen names, and they always say - Mickeyfan, thanks for applying, or asking, etc. Now woulddn't a human think Mickeyfan is an odd name?

You can never be too careful about email, even when it's from someone you know, it could be a spoofed address.

One thing I NEVER do is empty my bulk mail folder in Yahoo with out looking at all the senders names, because they filter things into there that are not always junk mail, like the LP confirmations.
